Today marks for the first day of the early signing period for college hoops.
As the calendar has been flipped to November for a week now, that means college basketball is about to come back into the limelight. But before the Chris Holtmann era begins at Ohio State, there is still something that needs to be done: securing the class of 2018.
The early signing period begins today and lasts until Nov. 15. (The regular signing period will take place from April 11, 2018 to May, 16, 2018.) This is where we’ll find out who will be signing on the dotted line and committing to play for the Buckeyes.
So far, there are four members of the class, and all of them are projected to sign throughout Wednesday. Let’s take a sneak peek at who is signing—and when.

Ryan McGlade of Buckeye Sports Bulletin tweeted out that three-star forward Justin Ahrens, an Ohio native, will be putting pen to paper sometime in the morning. Getting the Buckeye State prospect hasn’t been easy, as he committed and decommitted back in August 2016 and June 2017, respectively. However, as the Thad Matta era rolled out, and the Holtmann era rolled in, things changed. At one point, Michigan seemed like a very real landing spot for Ahrens, but in the end, it looks like it will be Ohio State who walks away with the signature from a star within their border.

With one PG in the fold, Muhammad will be the shooting guard to sign with the Buckeyes in the ‘18 class. A four-star from Jersey City, N.J., Muhammad is graded as the 72nd-best prospect in the 247sports composite; the composite also has the 6'4, 185-pounder as the fifth-best prospect in New Jersey.
Just a couple days after Washington verbally committed to spending his collegiate days in Columbus, Muhammad did the same.
Jaedon Ledee (noon)
Jake Weingarten of Stock Risers tweeted out that four-star forward Jaedon Ledee would be signing with Holtmann’s program at noon. Ledee is from Houston, and is seen as the eighth-best prospect out of a talented Lone Star State.
On Sept. 19, Ledee verbally made a commitment to the Buckeyes—the earliest of the four.

Washington is a three-star point guard, and according to his tweet, will be signing to OSU at 3:50 p.m. ET. From Chatsworth, CA, Washington comes in as the 287th-best prospect in the 2018 recruiting cycle, according to the 247sports composite.
Thirty schools sent out offers to Washington, but the Buckeyes were the chosen ones. After officially visiting Ohio State on Sept. 15, the West Coast native verbally committed to the Bucks on Sept. 20. Now, it’s time to put the commitment to paper.
And a football update
After having his 2017 season cut short due to an ankle injury, 2018 three-star running back commit
Master Teague (Murfreesboro, TN/Blackman) has the boot off, and is now in the rehabbing process, according to his Twitter account.
The picture included in the tweet shows him pushing his foot against leg strengthening equipment. Back in June, the Tennessee native made the decision to commit to Urban Meyer’s football program. Before his senior season was cut short, the RB had 709 yards on the ground and found the end zone 10 times.
