You could see a slightly nicer, more engaging Urban but the fire would still be there D) he did not forget how to coach football and his influence still is large, he could call up any top assistant or elite recruit and it would move the needle . And I feel it would be more people contributing to NIL knowing it would for sure go towards a National Championship under his leadership. Just my opinion

Issue one is that Urban would never get past the Board of Trustees, and #2, he's said repeatedly he's done with coaching. And as someone else mentioned. He never had to deal with the transfer portal or NIL. I believe he's been pretty critical of both.

So dangerous changing out a new center... even if the old center was barely average... he's still been the one calling assignment changes...

Texas' Steve Sarkisian couldn't dream of CFP after '15 firing​

Steve Sarkisian said Sunday there was a moment in time when he thought he would never make it to the College Football Playoff, reflecting on his journey with Texas during the final coaches news conference before the CFP semifinal against Washington at the Allstate Sugar Bowl.

Sarkisian pointed specifically to the months following his dismissal from USC in 2015 when asked whether there was a point where he felt making it this far in a season would ever be possible.

"Hell, yeah, I did," Sarkisian said. "I was out of work. Couldn't get an interview, never mind a job, never mind thinking about the College Football Playoff. Sure, it did. I think that's what makes part of this journey with this team this year probably so gratifying.

"So I think part of that puts things into perspective in that you appreciate the opportunities that you get. You appreciate the people that you're around every day. And you try to pour into those people. And when you pour into them, sometimes you get results like this, and you get on teams like this, and you get to be part of special seasons like this."

Just sayin': You do have to give Sarkisian credit having his alcohol addiction under control and turning his life around.

Just sayin': Looks like an outstanding STUDENT-Athlete. He's listed as a 3rd string red shirt Senior at DT behind guys that are (probably) coming back. He came in in 2019, so I believe that he will get a 6th (i.e. COVID) year. I'll say he gave it his best shot over the last 5 years and isn't likely to start for the Buckeyes in 2024 either. Hopefully he can latch on to a school where he will be able to get more playing time and I wish him the best.
