I'm sure you're right. I'm just surprised that it's taken me this long to learn about this controversy. They're normally so happy to share stuff like this.Sadly, it's really just a concentrated version of how the internet and stupidity work together in society today.
For the last 4 games. Can’t believe we lost this young man half way through the season (plus the Remington award winner) and still won it all.
Frye really did a job for the ages last season.
Yeah, with NIL now at a point where these collectives no longer are willing to just throw money at every recruit(save for a select few programs each year). From what I've heard the WRs outside of CHjr have(and have been willing) to take massively less in NIL to get coached by Hartline. Every school doesn't have that luxury.Honestly, losing guys to SMU and ole miss isn't that bad in the long run. 5 years ago or so, anytime we missed out on somebody, it seemed like they wound up at Bama, Georgia, etc. It directly aided OSU's direct competition, so double whammy.
Here? Whatever
Which is why Wafle hurt. For a B1G contender to steal a blue chip from OSU was worth another couple hundred thousand on the USC bid. I can see that strategy playing out multiple times where OSU is up against a different school in each instance. Hazzard of being the big dog.Honestly, losing guys to SMU and ole miss isn't that bad in the long run. 5 years ago or so, anytime we missed out on somebody, it seemed like they wound up at Bama, Georgia, etc. It directly aided OSU's direct competition, so double whammy.

Plot To Kill Joe.
In 1976, only one bunch of turds had the money to engineer this. The Golden Shower Panthers. The Pittsburgh Police ignored this. The telegrams and special delivery letters of death were ignored. The State Police had to protect Joe. Years later, like Judas, the state police would betray him.pennstate.forums.rivals.com
This is a new one, to me.
The OP makes a vague accusation:
Title: Plot to kill Joe
No evidence. No real details. "Only one bunch of turds had the money to engineer this." Not to make light of murder or assassinations or whatever, but you don't need a lot of money to commit crimes like this.
"Pittsburgh Police ignored this." I'd ignore it, too, if your only evidence is "they're the only ones with the money to engineer this."
"Letters of death were ignored". I don't know what "Letters of Death" are - death threats? I'm sure if they seemed viable they weren't ignored.
"State police had to protect Joe." Okay. I still don't have any details.
"The state police would betray him." Oh... the state police were the ones who framed Sandusky and scattered false evidence that Paterno knew. Seems legit.
The others believe him:

He's a luxury in OSU's class and a necessity in Ole Miss' and I can assure you that they're selling him as such. In their pitch, AND with their NIL offer. If he's committing to OSU than he took a MASSIVE pay cut in NIL
Yup! He's a luxury in OSU's class and a necessity in Ole Miss' and I can assure you that they're selling him as such. In their pitch, AND with their NIL offer. If he's committing to OSU than he took a MASSIVE pay cut in NILOle Miss is swooping in according to 11W
I felt the same exact way when I first saw him, and thought he was just a physical specimen! And then I started asking questions about him to the more expert recruiting guys(ie. Birm, AG, BK, Gerdeman, Noon, etc), and to a man they all said that the first issue is that he wants to play RB in college. And he doesn't fit the style of RB that Lock wants(Lock prefers guys who are lighter on their feet and have the ability to be big assets in the passing game, Feister is a throw back power RB who needs the ball 20+ times to wear down an offense), OSU sees him more of a Edge player like a Logan George or Justin Hill. And also the other worry is if he's maxed out his physical attributes and is relying on being the biggest kid on the field, and if he will no longer grow, while the rest of the kids surpass him in size when they get in a college weight training system.Appreciate the insight. I'm out here in California, and all I have to go on are the video clips. I love this kid's throwback style. What about defense, you don't think he has the goods to be a Buckeye on that side? On offense, I keep seeing a player that is similar to the recent PSU tight end/H-back dude, Tyler Warren.
Eh.....when all the CBs were for the good guys, and then he postpones, that's not good news.
