The kid is chiseled! Also seems to have his head screwed on right. Looking at what he can achieve in the classroom, as well on the gridiron shows (well beyond what I had in the day), that if you have a ten year run in the NFL, you still got about 40 years of regular work. My tOSU degree has stood me in pretty good stead, and here's hoping he partakes of what the Buckeyes have to offer. Maybe it's the kids, but tOSU seems to be recruiting a more complete person, (ie the >3.00 team GPA), and it shows. Most are very well spoken in their interviews, etc. Go Bucks!

Zion on the list for the Top 5 on defense:
Zion Branch, S, Las Vegas (Nev.) Bishop Gorman (2022) - One of the best cover safeties at the event, Branch routinely broke up passes or kept his receiver from making the catch. In fact, the only time we saw him get beat was when he went against his younger brother, Zachariah, who won the fastest man competition. Branch is easily able to turn and run and made some nice plays down the field.

“I really felt like Ohio State was a potential home for me,” Branch told Lettermen Row last month. “I could live there for sure.”

The Buckeyes have prioritized Branch for months. He’s one of what the Ohio State coaching staff hopes will be three safeties in the top-ranked 2022 recruiting class being put together by Ryan Day. Branch, Iowa 4-star Xavier Nwankpa and current verbal Kye Stokes each have a unique role in Kerry Coombs defense. That three safety push is something that has been plainly explained to the top safety prospect.

“Kye is going to play a cover safety role,” Branch said. “Xavier would start at the bullet and I’d be in the post safety, or free safety, role. It’s good to know how all three of us would fit at the same time. Especially with the caliber of players we are.
