This saga is so sad I reinstalled Pokemon Go on my iPhone just so I could do something meaningful with my spare time this August.

Put another way, is there anyone involved in, or who wants to talk about, this mess that states it was Gene's fault? You know, the guy who holds the title of Director of Athletics? Obvious answer: of course not, because all these people who are involved in, or who want to talk about, this mess care about is burying OSU's football program, not about anything of substance; their false narrative that they care about something of substance is just window dressing to achieve their real goal.

This is what pisses me off most.
Urban referred Zach and Courtney to counseling after the first incident in 2009. He referred Zach to substance abuse treatment in 2015. He twice told Zach point blank he would be fired if Powell police ever confirmed any of the DV allegations. The text transcripts from yesterday proved he knew about the police call in 2015 and knew Zach was never arrested or charged. He had conversations with Emig, Gene, and Stamper the night before media day to verify those facts as he knew them at that time, in light of McMurphy definitively stated Zach had been arrested.
What the fuck more could he have done, after having ALREADY fired Zach when he stepped to the podium at media day?
None of this supports the narrative he turned a blind eye to domestic violence. Media wants their pound of flesh, facts be damned.

Oh, just reporters implying that Ohio State covered up sending a lawyer to talk to Courtney Smith in 2015 based on a police report from 2015 which Courtney Smith herself has contradicted over the past several weeks.
JFC.
Achems razor says that Courtney Smith at the very least didn’t or doesn’t have her facts straight on this specific detail, and more broadly is unreliable on most things as every single person connected to this story other than Courtney herself has said repeatedly including the Powell PD in the story being linked.
But no, it’s a giant conspiracy. Good job reporters.

To go back to the tweet about Courtney Smith being scrubbed from the report in my previous post, it is the worst kept secret in the world that she was scrubbed because Ohio State and basically anyone else not named Snook or related to the Smith’s don’t want to come within 1000 feet of being viewed as attacking Courtney Smith.
Perhaps they are hoping that happens in court and their hands will be kept clean? Who knows.
