In last night's game, Justin Verlander struck out 12 and gave up no runs and just 4 hits in 7.2 innings. Reserve shortstop Erik Gonzalez, who entered the game 1 for 11 (.091) on the season, went 3 for 3 against Verlander, while the rest of the team went 1 for 23 (.043) against him.

Baseball can be a very strange game.

Well, Verlander Dominated against a 4A lineup (heck, AAA lineup in some respects) and Gonzalez has been balling out in the minors. I honestly thought he's be our near future 3B until the angry hamster, got all... angry.
