YOUR 2016 Cleveland Indians Thread (American League CHAMPS!)

Dr. Smooth back in action, so we have that going for us, which is nice.

Also Tyler Naquin is hitting the cover off the ball this spring. So he'll win a roster spot and hit .143 in April.
Nah. Not with that swing. He's gonna make contact.

Bedsides what are the other stiffs they brought in doing? Colin cowgill, I'd get the truck masters phone number. Youre gonna need it. Will Venable, I'd be doing a Pedro seranno voodoo session and hope Marlon Byrd breaks his dick on the way to Goodyear.

You clearly don't follow the Indians. True tribe roster management dictates that they send naquin to AAA, where he'll hit .300 all year, while rajai Davis or whatever other scrub/platoon hits about .225 combined. Then, naquin will get a call up in late August and hit about .260. So, the Indians will hand him the cf job next year, where he'll chisenhall (new verb, officially trademarked).
Yeah, that too.

No goats for me. I am just hoping for a good start to the season and that they do not crap the bed right off the bat. They certainly have the starting pitching I just hope that they can score a couple runs a game and that the relief pitching will hold up. For me, the bullpen is very scary.

Well. Th bullpen is only scary because if they can't score... They'll get overworked. But... Yeah, that's it. Find ways to get runs however they can and don't suck in April. (I think those games still count, right?)

With all of the talk the SP is receiving, I'm pretty sure we can expect 1987 Candiotti-Schrom-Niekro-Akerfelds-Bailes type returns. I mean, the rotation got talked up last year, but not to this level. If history has taught us anything with this franchise, it's that expectations inevitable lead to disaster.

Well, I think we got a couple things going for us. First of all, there's no one over 40 (Nevermind that Neikro was forty-fucking-eight years old, and keep in mind, Steve Carlton started 14 games at age 42). Second, Every pitcher we're considering including Cody Anderson has more career starts than Darrel Ackerfeld... and Anderson needs just 3 more to have more wins than Ackerfeld had in his career. (Anderson has exactly 15 career appearances) Third, that year was Ken Schrom's last in MLB, I presume he was embarrassed out of basebaell. And Scott Bailes? This guy here, is dead.

Having said that, I could find immediate use for Joe Carter, Cory Snyder and Brook Jacoby. Those guys did what they were supposed to.
