Naquin hit a ball hard in the gap, gimenez executed his bunt, and they don't make the play, and big time recognition and execution by rajai to beat the wheel. That took a lot of pressure off and forced the defense to sell out. I'm not sure if lindor gets that through with the infield back.

Glad to see that Francona sees that there is some value in bunting periodically. I think too often he wants to play for the beginning and with our pitching staff we really need all the runs that we can muster :banger:

I just hope that when the Indians visit Washington that Strasburg will be on a vacation but if we do miss him we probably will get Max Sch….

Also, the the Indians need to have some infield practice especially between Lindor and Kipnis when it comes to turning double-play balls.

Almonte is hold space for Brantley. The only other OF on the 40 man roster are Joey Butler and Colin Cowslip, neither one of which would likely be any better. At least Almonte has the potential for a little power at the plate.

Oops. Almonte is listed as PH in the box score; I didn't get to watch yesterday's game. Oh8ch referred to a pinch hitter. As I read box score, Almonte PH for Giminez in the 7th and then Perez came in to catch in the 8th.
