I do not think we will be trading for a bat because the price will probably be too high and we have been doing okay without Brantley this season. Now the bullpen that is an entirely different story. They need some help there and badly.

If the Indians play .500 baseball (34-34) from here on out, then they will end up with a record of 90-72.

Detroit (49-46) would need to go 41-26 (.612) to reach 90-72.

Kansas City (47-47) would need to go 43-25 (.632) to reach 90-72.

I know I risk jinxing the Tribe, but at this point they have practically locked up the Central Division crown. They would have to go full Cleveland to lose it now.

I counted 30 games against teams currently under .500.

Get just one more month of solid baseball in and lock this thing up in August. Gotta just keep winning series, which they've done well at.
