Showcase Gonzales for a trade? Willing to try anyone at 3B? Believe Naquin really can't hit lefties? Decided Ramirez is going to be everyday LF and need utility/bench guy who can give IF players days off?

Sometimes I think Francona gets too carried away with the lefty vs. righty situations. I cannot believe that he had Gonzales pinch-hit for Naquin last night. That was Gonzales's first ab in the majors. I also do not understand why he had Gomes pinch-hit for Gimenez (even though that was not a righty vs. lefty situation).

They really need to get some help for the seventh inning on. Otero is not too bad but Manship worries me quite a bit and McAllister worries me even more.

We have backed off a little bit because they are still shitty.

I think if they are going to showcase Gonzales for a trade there would have been better off leaving him in Columbus and let the suitors gauge his abilities from the minors. Davis can play CF if Tyler cannot hit lefties. Assuming Brantley comes back, I think Ramirez will be the every day, or most of the time, 3B. I do not think you will give many guys days off when you get into the August-September games. I just think it would have been better for Gonzales's development if he would then have left in the minors where he was getting consistent at-bats.
