I think both of these guys were inserted for defensive purposes before their plate appearances. I did not realize that Martinez was a better outfielder then Naquin but Francona certainly must think so. Maybe Martinez knows the Boston outfield better than Tyler. Certainly not going to second-guess Francona when it comes to his substituting

It certainly would be nice to shows Shapiro he made a mistake by taking the Toronto job.
