Is Bauer going to pitch Monday with stitches in his finger? You'd think that would have to affect him? I was never a pitcher so I wouldn't know but you'd think so.

I wouldn't think you could throw a changeup with stitches in your pinkie but it would depend on exactly where they were and what grip he uses.

Overall you put an extraordinary amount of pressure (think the end of a whip) on your fingertips when you pitch, not sure how you do that with stitches even if the ball isn't in direct contact with the affected area.

Then again, it's the ALCS and as long as you aren't slinging blood all over the place they have pain killers.

That's what I was thinking. Hopefully he can labor at least 4 innings seeing that the next game is going to likely be a bullpen joint effort, dont wanna get stuck in a situation where you have to start using a bunch of guys in game 3 because Bauer is out super early.
