Just a comment on earlier posts regarding a firebombing of NCAA HQ.

Firebombing is against the law.

Further, if anyone were to be killed it would also violate NCAA Bylaws. This would in turn violate our probation and lead to further sanctions.

Bottom line - wear USC Jerseys.

just dress up as brian kelly and put mark emmert on a scaffold. that apparently doesn't violate anything.

The fact that rules were broken is totally irrelevent with the point he was making. There's absolutely no fucking reason whatsoever that the NCAA could not have made their decision three weeks earlier...none. The problem is that the NCAA literally has no one to whom they have to answer. Fuck them.

And it is hard to believe that the delay in the NCAA ruling is for any reason other than to inflict long-term damage on Ohio State. I agree with you sentiment totally.

I thought the delay was somewhat due to Gene Smith and the Department of Athletics being kind of late or waiting with their response to the NCAA?

Not that the notion of the NCAA wanting to inflict longer-term damage is wrong (it's probably right).

This is also why Smith is not challenging the sanctions. I would bet that was Meyer's call - not Smith's. Meyer wants to get on down the road. File an appeal and you still can't tell the kids what is happening for sure.

Looks like there's nothing more to be said, except for rehashing the same points over and over. Mods, please consider giving this thread the "Lock and Sink" treatment.

Every time somebody posts a request to lock the thread, it gets bumped.

This thread will go away when people stop posting in it. In the meantime, there are apparently people who have legitimate things to discuss here.

I agree. I stopped posting in here a long time ago for that very reason.
