No this one is [censored]ed unless someone can give some perspective here......does this fall on him? Is this Reggie Bush? Does this fall on the school he obviously never gave a [censored] about?
Getting improper [Mark May] is on him, generally. Getting [Mark May] from what the NCAA terms a "booster" is a real problem. Getting [Mark May] that happens in a manner that it was known, or should have been known because it was so obvious, is the LOIC thing.

So nothing is new yet, as it were. No reason to be afraid, but sure as [Mark May] no reason to feel comfortable.

Actually, I don't think they can force TP to cooperate with them anymore. They could when he was a student.

Granted it's Brooks- but it looks as if we now know why TP left today: http://bit.ly/jhGeAP

Midway through the 2010 football season, Talbott was ordered by Ohio State officials to completely disassociate himself from the program. That indicates that administrative members of the OSU athletic department knew of Pryor?s activities involving Talbott long before the NCAA recently discovered the payments from Talbott to the former Buckeye quarterback
If true, yikes.

step back, take off your scarlet glasses. do you think espn only reports on tom/dick/harry when discussing usc/tenn? it is a tough thing, but the reality is that such activities were not all that quite amongst the business community in and around columbus.

Yes and that is my exact point. I completely believe that Pryor accepted all kinds of improper benefits and I am more than confident that there are legitimate sources out there to back up such allegations....especially considering the fact that "such activities were not all that quite amongst the business community in and around Columbus." However, this story is supported solely on the word of a "former friend" who doesn't even have the balls to show his face or have his name printed. You might argue that he wanted to remain anonymous in order to stay safe from the rabid Ohio State fans in Columbus. If he is so worried about safety then he wouldn't have said anything at all. Well then, maybe he is just an upstanding guy who wants to make sure that such things don't go unnoticed. My response to that is: really, have you watched the news every day to see the dozens of other upstanding guys who are crawling out of the woodwork to dish on Pryor.

I am not defending Pryor, quite the opposite in fact. I just think the media has gone to absolute shit. They report whatever feeds the frenzy with little regard for accuracy and newsworthiness. They know that, essentially, they can hide behind the First Amendment, NY Times v. Sullivan and its progeny and say whatever they want with little fear of legal liability. It gets old.

You are correct. Pryor no longer has to cooperate with the NCAA investigation.

Indeed.

I try and maintain an optimistic outlook, but things are looking grim for tOSU.

I think I said this in another thread but it bears repeating: tOSU sucks at cheating...apparently we are the absolute fucking worst when it comes to this. Hell, USC at least got to enjoy their BCS for 7 years before it was stripped. Damn we suck at this....pissing me off.

Don't be [censored]ed, [Mark May] happens. The best we can do is look forward and see what Fickell has in him.:oh:

I am indeed very excited to see what Luke has in him, and have no doubt he has the mental fortitude to succeed, even with everything falling around him. The only question is, will he have anything to look forward to after the regular season.

If true, way OK to be concerned now.
