It's an interesting theory. The problem with it also was it just sucked the energy out of the arena. When Daniel Bryan won later in the night, the pop was nowhere near as loud as it could have been.

Tonights Raw should be interesting. Going against the bball game and having a lot of pissed off fans, their ratings number could be in the tank.

I read that several people left the arena after taker's match

Well, either Brock takes the title tonight or they'll have it as Brock vs. Bryan at the next PPV/"Special"

I will give props that this match was a genuine surprise and probably a Top 3 wrestling shocker of all time; maybe higher than Warrior beating Hogan and Bruno Sammartino losing after 9+ years.

Taker must have felt he couldn't do another year; or just didn't want to. But I agree, it should have been Bray Wyatt doing this instead of the waste of a Cena match and they killed all his momentum #badbooking

Lastly, I'm gonna predict Cesaro takes the belt from Big E tonight and we get a Cesaro Vs. Ambrose match for unification of the belts at the PPV - or at least I dream this will happen.

Well, think about the following:

-Undertaker is known to hate people when they walk out. He was very critical of Austin when he did it and their relationship was never the same.

-Why would UT agree to lost to a part-timer otherwise? Brock gets no benefit out of it, as he isn't even a full time competitor. It just so happens he did it the year after Punk list to him and with Punk's manager?

-Punk now looks at the guy working with HHH winning the World title and the part-timer using his manager stopping the streak the year after Punk's build to the match was about 1,555,555,555 times better leading in.

-Interesting thing to me is why he agreed to let Lesnar do it instead of Cena...Cena would make more sense as he shows up at house shows, does the stuff for the kids, and has taken over the UT role as the guy basically. Says something that it wasn't him.

I agree that the fans are shocked, and they are pissed off both by UT losing to a guy who shits on the business and the Monster Heel losing to Cena clean. There is usually a big debut after WM...Sting as GM maybe?

Of course I should say there is another interesting theory bandying about, and that is that the UT loss was an accident...that he was legit KO'd by the third F5 and couldn't kick out when he was supposed to, and the ref had no choice but to count to 3. I find that hard to believe considering: A) no doctors attended to UT in the ring, B) they had their 21-1 graphic handy, and C) He acted like a guy being in the ring for the last time. But it's out there.

Possible, but I agree doubtful. Although Heyman nailed the whole shock act, he's top notch that's for sure.

The graphic is easily changed though, so I don't think that's a one way or the other telling fact. I think it has more to do with the fact that he's 49 and decided he can't do this for another year; it showed in the ring, although I still wish last year with CM was the ending because that match would have been a fitting ending.

The graphic is just one piece. Plus on the last F5 you could see UT clearly say something to Brock...so whether they cut it short (which could have been a shock to people) or what, I don't know. The audience was almost dead and the UT couldn't go much, so that wouldn't surprise me actually. I think that's more likely than a botch.

I read that the ending that happened was what was planned

It's said that this was indeed The Undertaker's decision. We noted before that back in 2010, Taker wanted Lesnar to be the one to end The Streak. This is not confirmed yet but the impression was given backstage that Taker is done.

I'll tell you why they did it. It's an Occam's Razor situation. Look around...everybody is talking about it. Mainstream news has picked it up. THAT's why they did it.
Oh I agree, but after Shawn's light/darkness, HHH's end of an era, and CM Punk's just plain nasty buildups, this match didn't really have anyone caring about it going in. If they were going to end it you would have thought they would get people more invested in the outcome...for more buys at least.

When your only other sports story for the day is Oscar Pistorious' murder trial, I'd say people would rather hear about Taker losing his streak.

It's just funny to me that people are looking for reasons why a freak of nature like Brock Lesnar could have somehow beat up a 50 year old man.

same reason why these guys
