Would be a good guy to out in down in the redzone. Cardale seems to not do as well in the redzone would help getting a big guy in there.

You did! Everyone gets to warm up! Honestly he's good enough get PT and is a change of pace reciever for us. With us having about 10 recievers good ehough to get time and the regular season being 33% over, I wouldn't burn his redshirt at this point.

Yeah I'd save him too although I think he would be a great deep threat due to his height. At this point unless we are going to play him extensively I'd say save him. I just hope he doesn't get upset by redshirting

My opinion has always been if they are good enough to play early, they probably aren't staying all four years anyway. if he can help and improve the offense, I say go for it

OSU is playing for a second straight national championship. They will not leave any bullets unfired this year, especially when it comes to 6-4 215 athletes who run a 10.6 100 meters. Receiver is a position of huge need and if Gibson can only help in a couple games they'd still use him.

Mike being redshirted wasn't a problem (he wasn't ready until late). How he was redshirted was, which isn't particularly relevant to this thread of a QB moving to WR, suffering an injury and not quite breaking through a veteran depth chart.

The relevance was that LB was a position of need that season and he was left on the shelf. The statement was made that Urban wouldn't not play a talent like Gibson because WR is a position of need.

Why "save" him? For what? If he indeed does redshirt, you think he'll still stay here for 3-4 more years?

I think that as soon as he gets his black stripe removed Meyer will put him in. Even if he doesn't start playing for another few games he still will contribute for half the regular season and the post season (up to three more games), giving us a much-needed deep threat. This would not only help us out on offense this season but will prep him for the next 2-3 years...
