After looking at alot of tape and reading alot of websites and peoples opinions, including former college players heres what i think is a perfect scouting report/pros-Cons of Torrance Gibson

Pros-
Size, at 6'4 210 Gibson is big for a HS Senior QB, not out of the question for him to get to 220-225
Arm Strength, just like they said during the AA game, kid can throw it a mile
as Elite as it gets in athletic ability for a QB. He didnt look to have those quicks and moves and being flat out faster then everyone in the AA game he did in his JR tape, (in fact he was chased down by west LBs a few times, but those LBs were also sub 4.55 guys) but he was also playing vs the best of the best. I think he's more Pryor then Miller.
Smart Passer/high football IQ. only 7 career INTs in college in over 400 attempts.
Cons-
Accuracy, 50% career in HS that was only at 53% at its best.
Pocket Awareness, he always seems to hold the ball way to long which leads to alot of those highlight runs. but also leads to making bad un-catchable throws on the run when he's trying not to get sacked
Release, Very Tim Tebow like release, pretty slow. Going to have to speed that up alot if he wants an NFL career.
Footwork. Doesn't always plant his feet, doesn't always settle in the pocket to make a good pass
Good NFL Comparison? Colin Kaepernick. Why?
when you read a good Kaepernick scouting report out of college like this one,
http://nfldraftgeek.com/kaepernick , it nearly matches Gibson word for word. I loved Kapernick coming out of Nevada and knew he would be good. He has tools to overcome his weaknesses in other areas. I think the potential is there for Gibson to have some of the best stats we have ever seen in an Ohio State QB, even better then Barretts 45 TDs this year, but its going to take him making a full commitment to changing some of his game and willing to learn. losing Herman will hurt as i think he's the best QB coach we have ever had, but theres always room for improvement with coaches, we will see who Meyer brings in to replace him and hopefully its not just a great recruiter as like i said, the moon is the limit for Gibson, with the right attitude and coaching.
