Just enjoyed watching his film.....from what I've seen in the last couple of pages, I've seen a lot of TP2 comparisons but I don't see much of that at all. But wow, I've never seen a kid on film over the last couple of years jump out and scream the next Braxton more than with Torrance's. TP2 was a glider, Torrance is not but he will throw in that stiff arm. He hides the ball very well; plus, in the spread formations with a left handed QB it can really trick up a defense for a little while.
Great runner; has the vision needed to run our offense. He's got plus arm strength and has natural touch but he still throws more than passes but that's something you can work with. You can tell he doesn't have the mechanics and I rarely saw him throw from a solid base but he's getting by in high school based on the previously mentioned zip/touch. He's electric with the ball in the open field, I get giddy just imagining him in the Shoe!
I've always praised that the 'intangibles' are extremely important for QB's at any level. He's got a ton of pluses in that area as he's clearly a natural leader, winner, etc. Without knowing him personally I can't speak on his love for the game but based on the statements he's made early on about being willing to looking at playing other positions if need be, I feel like he's definitely a team first type.
Haven't dived into Wimbush's film yet but this will be hard to beat.
