WR Terrelle Pryor ('10 Rose, '11 Sugar MVP)

I hope that Terrelle can follow in Troys footsteps. I think he wants to work on his throwing motion more than anything. He has to or else he will get picked off quite a bit. The running ability is there, you can see that already.

Northwestern will play us hard thats for sure. Pryor knows that this game has to be his Jail Break. Thats the only thing i can say.

Terrelle Pryor

One of the reasons Jim Tressel likes Terrelle Pryor is because, even as a freshman, Pryor gets it.
"When you turn over the ball, you lose games," Pryor said.
The Ohio State quarterback might as well have been quoting from his coach's 10 commandments. It was senior starter Todd Boeckman's three critical turnovers in a 35-3 loss at Southern California that accelerated Tressel's decision to make Pryor -- just four months out of high school -- the starter.
Before the Buckeyes took on third-ranked Penn State, Pryor had not exactly lit up the field statistically, but he had adhered to the turnover commandment. He'd thrown just two interceptions.
Then in the last 11 minutes against the Nittany Lions, he looked like a wide-eyed freshman. He eschewed a called quarterback sneak on third-and-1 at midfield, improvised with a keeper to the outside and gave up a fumble that set up Penn State's go-ahead touchdown. He followed two possessions later by throwing an interception that sealed the Nittany Lions' win.

Terrelle Pryor learning to handle the best with the worst, Bill Livingston says

Plain Dealer Columnist

Vince Young, the original quarter back of tomorrow, took improbable risks at Texas that he made good with unmatched size, speed and shiftiness.
Terrelle Pryor, with no game this week, but many tomorrows ahead of him as quarterback at Ohio State, took a more calculated risk recently, counting on similar mobility and resourcefulness to see him through.
Young's biggest gamble was a 19-yard scramble on fourth-and-17 in the last 69 seconds at Kansas in 2004. You cannot run in such situations, but Young left two Jayhawks sprawled in his wake, got the first down, and won the game.

Has anyone else realized that Troy didn't lose a game between the penn state loss in 2005 and the Florida debacle, and Troy lost to penn State the same way TP did? or atleast earily similar

yep, i compaired the two right after the loss in the penn state game thread. i also compaired the qb rotation against usc to that of texas in 05. which was met with "05 is nothing like 08". *shrug* guess were the only ones that see it.

Some might say they save their walk-throughs for Saturdays. :(
(not me, though!)

I wouold certainly hope we put a whoopin' on NW, irregardless of the previous game. That should be a given.

I'm anxious to see the offensive strategy - hope they take a page from the defense and be more aggressive. Trust all those great athletes you recruited, etc.

Yeah but with this bye week, I want to see a whoopin' in every aspect.. I want to see the defense dominate, the offense to have production through the air and on the ground, and Beanie to break out for a few LONG runs...
