WR Ted Ginn, Jr. (Official Thread)

It's been awhile since I watched Teddy highlights...watched some tonight. I've seen people run faster than Teddy before, but never in pads, and not by much. There's a moment when he sees daylight that you can actually feel him accelerate. Dude's a freak.

Right before the kickoff, Teddy has a look in his eyes that's unmistakable:

"I'm taking this to the house, and ain't [Mark May] you can do about it."

I love how he runs right up the gut bringing the entire defense into the middle, turns on a dime, and before the defense can react, he's already running along the sideline.

It's the lateral motion, that "turn on a dime at pace" thing, that separates him from other "athletes". If you're an opposing player and you see those shoulders go down and the neck get pitched forward, you have two choices. Get embarrassed or fake the injury :slappy:

Would love to have seen Darrell Green in his prime against Ted Ginn.

Unofficially Darrell Green ran a 4.09 40. When he turned 50, he ran a 4.43 40.

I watched a replay of the kick return, full screen, and there was one version of it was looking into his face as he was lifting up the ball, hot dogging it.

I noticed him looking up as he did it, into the stands (I thought).

I heard later that he looked up a the video and saw someone was behind him so he kicked it in again to make sure he didn't get caught from behind.

Point is, he was just cruising along, and thought, "hmmmm, I wonder what I look like up on the big screen?"

Crazy.

That sure did put a smile on my face. On another note, despite the fact that he went to scUM, it's easy to see why Jim Harbaugh is so well liked and highly thought of. What a cool dude!
Of course he is: he is from Ohio! His problem is that he must have grown up too close to the Davis Besse Nuke plant, causing some sort of brain injury that resulted in his decision to go to TSUN.

It is hard to hold it against him though....

I realized that's what he did when I was watching it live, and he's not the first guy to see himself on the screen and react to what he sees behind him on the big screen. It happens fairly often with all of the huge screens in today's stadiums.

I think it was a requirement to look up ever since Leon Lett.
