WR Ted Ginn, Jr. (Official Thread)

I know it wasn't the only reason, but you have to wonder, what would have happened in 2006 had he not gotten injured on the opening kickoff?

I think about that game all the time. If I could talk to Tressel that would be the 1st thing I asked about. That game wasn't like the '07 title game where we had to play a close to perfect game to beat a better team. I think we win that game more often than not if we play more than once. I'd just love to hear what he says about it.

I wouldn't go so far as to say we would have won the game, but with his ability and speed, I'm willing to say we put more points on the board.

I agree fully. I don't say this lightly and I'm trying to be totally objective.....but I've never ever seen a player as fast in the open field or getting around pursuit with the angle. EVER.

Deion was in the same class but I don't think he was quite as explosive
Hester is awesome....he uses brute acceleration to create space
Darrell Greene was incredible but he was more like Hester is now

Ginn simply needs a a step and he is not going to be caught and will probably gain 1 yard every 10 yards on the faster pursuers I've seen

That dude can fly. I tried to think of something cool to say about his speed but it's just so point blank. Dude is fast. Faster than anyone I've ever seen on a football field.

OMG he just went Usain Bolt on everybody. I was like nice retur...holy shit I forgot how fast you are.

Yep. I thought two different players had a good angle on him, but nope. He was at full-speed and I don't even think Chris Johnson could catch him when Teddy's at full-speed.
