WR Marvin Harrison, Jr. (Silver Football, 2x Unanimous All-American, 2023 Biletnikoff winner, Heisman Finalist, Arizona Cardinals)

He should not be returning punts.

Just. Fucking. NO!

Of all the things people have complained about Ryan Day for, this one is legit. Like everyone had already screamed over and over again, why recruit all of those fast ass players to sit the bench?

If he gets hurt in a game or God forbid, practice, Day will wish he stayed in the NFL. The rabid dogs will be out and it will be ...I can't even explain how bad.

If you want to get him the ball more, which is really trivial, throw the ball no one can cover him anyway!

The hyperventilating in the replies was so predictable:

"Didn't they learn from Jaxson?"
"Remember what happened when MHJ went out against Georgia?"

I remember neither of those things happened while returning a punt. Besides, it's the first day of Spring practice. Deep breaths.

Yes, remain calm until we play a team with a pulse and have every glaring lingering weakness exposed and we can kick the can down the road until next season.

"Trust the coaches" worked with Tressel. These guys are mentally retarded. I should have been a coach I could have been a multi millionaire just by not being a midwit.

Imagine getting 2 million dollars to call this defensive scheme.

The next time you quote me have the courtesy to respond to what I said, instead of pretending I said a bunch of stuff that I never said.

I was particularly amused by you putting "trust the coaches" in quotes, as if I said that.

If you think I'm blindly on board with the coaches you've obviously not perused the Ryan Day thread. I'm just not someone who freaks out over the first day of Spring practice, because it's the first day of Spring practice. Again, breathe.

I'm fine with it. Teddy Ginn Jr. did fine in the return game, and as a receiver.
Ginn wasn't close to the complete WR that MHjr is! Apples to oranges
Its completely foolish to put your best WR as PR. Egbuka returning punts is one thing, but MHjr is a completely different scenario! Like I said previously, you'd never see guys built like MHjr as a PR(i.e. DK Metcalf, AJ Green, Julio Jones, Roy Williams, Andre Johnson, etc). On top of that, OSU has a stable of players with exceptional speed looking to see the field and would be better options.

This is being done to build Harrison Jr's Heisman reel.

Someone needs to convince me why this is so bad. Who is the last punt returner here that suffered injury on the field returning punts/kicks, not counting Ginn Jr by friendly fire in a TD celebration? Reading the last two pages of this thread you'd think returning punts is equivalent to drumming for Spinal Tap.

So you're saying that MH Jr. is going to spontaneously combust !! WTF
