ALPHA DOG: Jeremiah Smith, WR, Hollywood (Fla.) Las Vegas Bishop Gorman, Ohio State commit
The No. 1-ranked wide receiver in the class of 2024 simply lived up to the billing as he made a number of “wow” catches on both Saturday and Sunday. Smith is someone that we have been tracking for well over a year now, but one might be able to make the case that this was his most dominating performance, at least in this type of setting. He had no issues creating separation while working pretty much the entire route tree and came up big time and time again for the South Florida Express. We have been struggling to find a player comparison for Smith, but after watching him move around and out-muscle defensive backs, the name Julio Jones comes to mind. Now, that might be a bit bold (Jones, after all, is a seven-time Pro Bowl selection), but from a body composition standpoint it fits as Smith is growing into his large frame and should eventually be able carry 215 pounds or more. Smith –like Jones– also isn’t just some one-trick pony as he can attack all three layers of the field.

Smith's stock can't get much higher but the show he put on for South Florida Express warrants attention. From the regular season to the offseason, the five-star receiver appears to have gotten bigger and perhaps taller. Already a big target for quarterbacks, Smith seemingly towers over defensive backs and soars to high point the ball on 50-50 tosses in the corner of the end zone. He was great off the line and made highly contested receptions with ease making the game look easy.
I'll take or leave Trader tbh. He'd be a great addition, but it seems to much like he'll play the SoFL game. Options like: Mylan Graham, Jeremiah McClellan, Micah Hudson, Terrance Moore, and Elijah Moore are more realistic and just as talented.Phenom. Hoping Trader joins him in S&G.
We don't even need more than 2 in this cycle honestly. We've got 8 guys who haven't even played yet so bringing in another 2 studs makes a crazy roster. I'd say 3 at the most this year and reallocate the other option that we normally use for a pressing

Not trying to speculate, but we’re losing some guys from the WR room. I can see 1-2 tbh. 2024 was always going to be a 3 man class regardless. Too much talent, and picking even 3 will be a top 3 WR class, imo. Smith is the absolute #1, but if Graham Can get his grades in order, he’s easily one of the best in the country. #3 of the rest would still be an amazing haulAbsolutely, we can be very selective this cycle on who else we take at WR (and keep Smith as mentioned above). Numbers are needed elsewhere moving forward for the '24 class, but it is still awesome to have Smith on board already. Leaves no doubt who WR U is right now.
