WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba (2022 Rose Bowl MVP, Seattle Seahawks)

Let's be honest guys. A lot of us are old farts and from the era or concussions being getting your bell ring shake it off and go play.

The game has moved on from that era for obvious reasons. You aren't going to have someone break their arm yell at the training staff to tape it up and go back and make the game saving tackle. That era is done and for the players it's better for it.

... you present yourself.

you signed up specifically and exclusively to trash JSN based on regurgitating speculative inside info from another board.

this whining is literally the only thing you're bringing to the table, but it's our problem if we notice it. Maybe you have other things to offer but we haven't seen anything but emotional whining and then laughable attempts to call out and moderate those around you.

You want to wax poetic about the optics of this yet cry bloody murder when someone holds you accountable. the difference is Jaxon actually did a lot of great things for two years before he got cheapshotted by ND.

any time you want to take your own advice for how a buckeye impacts those around him, I'd love to see it. It appears you have confused this board as a place for unchecked rants to cope with mild sports developments.

You are expected to back up your stances here, and you're called to task for what you say and do.

You are wrong in literally this entire thing. I didn’t sign up to bash him at all. I hadn’t said a word about him til the news came out.

I shared my opinion. Just like you all do daily. But since it differs. Instead of maturely disagreeing. You all result to name calling and immature tactics. An echo chamber.

my thing is especially with the NIL money. I think players are expected to give it their all. In this case I feel he took the safe road and left his team high and dry.

Also you are a bunch of hypocrites. Who think you’re special because you can slap each others collective backs on a message board. You are all sooooo cool.

Now kindly get over yourselves and move on. If you don’t like my opinion, don’t respond.

I read that as massage board and wondered what exactly in the fuck you guys had been up to while I was gone.

Unless you, yourself, are Jaxon or his family, you don't actually know what he's dealing with or how he made his decision. Yet your condemning him despite all the evidence all year that he did everything possible to get back on the field.

This feels like people screaming "freedom of speech!!!" when people online disagree with them. You're free to express your opinion, everyone else is free to agree or disagree and respond accordingly.

Lol true.. but there is no long term risk of more damage there I would hope it's just pain tolerance.

While there is much less fuck my health long-term I'm going to win this game type stuff going on then there used to bed. We have old-timers talk about winning games where they remember nothing after half time and the whole game etc... And that's a good thing. Even if there were players who would do it if you let them.

Newbie bursts in to a community that's existed for 2 decades and tells us all what's up. Who's seen this one before?

My guy, you have 13 posts. All in this thread.

Here's your first one yesterday:

I will lose a lot of respect if JSN doesn't play. I'm sorry, but a chance at a title, already locked in as a 1st Round talent. We've seen for instance Jamison last year still being a 1st rounder despite a bad injury. JSN also gets a lot of NIL money.

There should be no reason he doesn't play unless the team has lied about his true injury.

But everyone else needs to move on?

I also liked the "you guys are name calling, also you're hypocrites"

Pretty good stuff.

If you didn't sign up to bash JSN, what is it that you'd say it is you did sign up for. Bearing in mind your first sentence is how much respect you have lost for him.

When we played Bama for the title Jalen Waddle worked his ass off to come back from a broken ankle to play in it. Pre-NIL no less.

I don’t get how JSN couldn’t get back for a hammy.

training staff owes some explanation.

My guy, I'm sorry but they owe you nothing. JSN owes you nothing. You are a fan. It's his life. We all would have loved to see him on the field with how Marv has blossomed. The 2 of them with Emeka would be something unreal. It just didn't happen. It sucks..... but let's be real. No explanation is needed.

This is one of my biggest pet peeves. Freedom of speech doesn't guarantee freedom of consequence from said speech. You are allowed to say and believe whatever you like.

Your employer, a business, the police, a forum, the general public etc are also allowed to shun you or kick you out of their place of business or even arrest you for said speech.
