WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba (2022 Rose Bowl MVP, Seattle Seahawks)

I think they wanted to play him against Iowa to knock the rust off before Penn State.

Probably true, but I'd rather him be rusty and 100% instead of less than 100% and at high risk of re-aggravating it. They had a second chance to get him to 100% and blew it yet again. He was not needed vs Toledo or Iowa. This has been a Washington Commanders-esque bungling of his rehab and it's not a good look

I think you’re assuming a lot here.

If it's another hammy, then I hate to say it but the draft stock is probably going to take a hit. If he's 100% by the combine it wont be a huge hit but a hit nonetheless. If it lingers, it is probably going to cost him a big chunk of money not to mention missing a chance to be on the field for a ttun massacre and a Natty.

Complete conjecture….

Incorporating him back in competitive games is risky as hell and probably not worth it.

Bringing him back for a bowl game (hopefully playoffs) makes sense.

Even when he’s in, the timing and playcalling seems off.

Id just rest him at this point and focus on rest of regular season.

There is still northwestern Indiana or Maryland but of course fans will get mad if he gets reinjured in one of those games cause why were we playing him save him from TSUN. So catch 22

The problem is, when he’s in, our flow is off. The timing isn’t where it should be.

I guess you can incorporate him back against lessor teams, but I’m not sure it’s good for winning…..

kid is elite when healthy, but he’s not…..I’d just let him rest at this point and focus on post season. Let his hamstring heal.

it took time to adjust when he got taken out of the offense.
it will take time to work him back in now that he's healthier.

i think that all of this attention on JSN is kind of unfair to harrison, given the unbelievable performances he's been turning in week after week. the media sometimes talk as if harrison is an also-ran.

I don't know if there's a correlation here. When he's in, it's at the beginning of games where we're seeing whatever the other team has come up with to try and stop our offense. I'd imagine if he were healthy and was playing in the 3rd and 4th against Iowa.....he'd have gotten his.

I haven’t seen nearly the explosion he has shown in previous years yet…..he looks like a shell of himself, IMO.

Ryan Day knows a helluva lot more than I do, but my opinion is to just let it rest, and then focus in bowl practice to find that rhythm and hopefully he can showcase his skills prior to leaving for NFL…..I will say, each game he comes back and isn’t himself, I feel like we see his draft stock slip a bit. Almost every mock I’m looking at has taken him out of the first rd with multiple receivers ahead of him.

I bet Olave and G Wilson having success will give him a boost on actual draft day.
