WR Jameson Williams (transfer to Alabama, Detroit Lions)

According to ESPN:

He came into the game with 75 catches for 1,507 yards and 15 touchdowns and averaged 20.1 yards per reception. He is rated the No. 1 wide receiver and No. 6 prospect available overall for the 2022 NFL draft by both ESPN's Mel Kiper Jr. and Todd McShay.

Williams has not yet announced whether he intends to enter the draft or return to Alabama for his senior season. Monday is the deadline for players to declare.

Post game convo between Smart and Saban, Nick says he thinks it's an ACL. Was hoping for miniscus for him but he's got some serious rehab to do. Hope he's able to get it back to at least 95% for his sake. The Adrian Peterson's of the world aren't human so I dont want to hear anymore comparison's when this kind of injury comes up. He made it look too easy.

I can't believe sportswriters and folks in Alabama thought he might actually stay. What more does he have to prove at the college level that he hasn't already? Go get your money, young man. You proved everything and more at Alabama that you couldn't in Columbus

Good luck to Jamo in The League!

Jameson Williams provides update on his recovery at NFL Combine

Williams provided a positive update on his recovery earlier this month when speaking with reporters at the NFL Combine.

“I’m hearing I’m ahead of schedule,” Williams said. “I’m six weeks out of surgery. I’ve been walking well. Walking without the brace for about two weeks, walking without the crutches for about three weeks. Everything’s been going well. I’ve just recently been getting in the pool, doing some running motions. Everything’s just been going good, really.”

Although he doesn’t have a timetable for a return, Williams is hopeful he can be ready to suit up for whichever team selects him by the start of training camp, which would begin in mid-July.

“As soon as possible,” Williams said. “I won’t be rushing anything. It’s just gonna take time, and everything is just gonna come into place. I don’t have a set time or anything, but I just want it to be right when it does happen. I won’t be rushing anything. I’ll just let it happen when it happens.”

All the mock drafts I've seen still has him going in the 1st round; usually the 4th receiver off the board behind Garrett Wilson, Drake London, and Chris Olave.
