WR Jameson Williams (transfer to Alabama, Detroit Lions)

Yeah pretty much... go count it.

Also no he really didn't line up wide hardly at all.

Is JSN better than Williams? They're different.

That's all I'll say.

Williams is essentially a home run threat without the consistent hands Olave has. If he were gunning for any spot, he needed Wilson or Olave to go pro. Williams’ biggest knock in a Buckeye uniform was his drops. I’m happy he’s improved and found success elsewhere, but to act like he’d be better than anyone getting consistent playing time is kind of a pointless argument.

Regardless of where JSN lined up today, he’s shown he has the ability to line up anywhere.

I'm not pretending that... someone else did the "eyes" emoji to a previous comment I made.

I still maintain that Williams could've helped this team and we failed in showing him how he'd be used.

He absolutely could’ve helped this team. But it would’ve been in situations where he was giving Wilson and Olave a rest. He still absolutely could’ve been a home run threat in that role, but he wanted the spotlight. That simply wasn’t going to happen this year with Olave and Wilson returning for another year.

I agree it wasn't but IMO it was a mistake.

This is what will happen if we continue to play only 3 WRs primarily.

I'm not debating that Olave/Wilson/JSN aren't better. My whole take has been that Williams gave us something the other 3 didn't and we could've given him a role in our offense.

Hasnt Egbuka and Harrison Jr gotten PT, and Fleming is finally healthy and got in today. Williams was a nice weapon, but I’d say he isn’t near as complete as any of those names. I’m glad he’s showing out at Bama, because I doubt he would’ve gotten much more time this year at OSU.And watching the Bama highlights tonight show that Williams still doesn’t run routes, he’s a speedster with one route, straight!

I mean right now yeah Williams is better. We will see in 2 years for Egbuka and Harrison.

I get it guys Williams' 1 trick is a really really good trick. We could've used that trick this year no doubt about it.

Glad it worked out for him though but no doubt he helps us had he stayed. Saying otherwise just isn't being honest.

Meh
Give me versatility over having 1 talent. It’s easier to scheme against a guy with 1 skill, as opposed to guys that can move around and always get open. But to each their own, and it’s nice discussion that is purely speculative
