WR Garrett Wilson (All B1G, 1st Team All American, 2022 OROY, New York Jets)

Another article on 11w, and I dont understand why this is an all or nothing. Talk to the coaches about snap counts and how much you want to play. Particularly with a loaded WR room. I think not playing is something a lot of players regret. This is the only chance he will ever have to play in the rose bowl.
I say this as someone who passed up a lot of experiences in college 15 years ago, and I regret almost all of them. I often think back on the experiences I did accept , even the irresponsible ones and I’m so glad I have those memories.
He’s got his whole life to make business decisions. This is the last chance he gets to go play with teammates he decided to play with, a coach that he chose and an offensive philosophy he came here for. I hope he decides to go have fun with his brothers one more time, even if he only plays a few snaps.

I do not think that your memories that you passed up in college involved making millions of dollars if you tore a knee up or did some other type of significant damage to your body. His decision could cost him a lot of money. Plus, there are other WRs that could take his place and give them some experience for next season.

It’s his choice alone but if I was a coach (and I can’t believe I’m saying this) I’d accommodate him. If he only wants the first half, or out on running plays or nothing over the middle I’d accommodate him. But it would only be known by the HC OC and PC. No need to advertise it. Only a few players could earn this perk.

Not sure why this surprises anyone. As soon as we lost to ttun, this was going to happen. The bowl games are an exhibition and they dont mean anything anymore for kids at the major player schools. Business decisions all the way around. I'd be ok if Olave and Ruckert sit it out as well and start preparing for their careers.

We need all the freshmen and lower class level guys getting all the reps here not the guys who are moving on. Play the freshmen and backups most of the games when it's on the line and build for the spring and next season.

I've been on the "he should go" train but just saw a mock draft of him at #15, 3rd WR taken. Now that really doesnt mean a hell of a lot but it that were true, I wonder how he would view it. Is 15 high enough for him? Williams and some dude from USC going higher than him? Might be a draw to try and go Top 10 but the money might not be all that different from 10 tio 15. Tough decision

#15 isn't bad and would pay more over his career than coming back and being a top 10 pick. Browns could use another Garrett.

#10 - total $21,592,714; includes bonus $13,601,337
#15 - total $17,757,500; includes bonus $9,855,621

PS Cleveland probably picks at #16

I'm all for fax and ebidents

USC not bowl bound.. so Drake London is done for the year.
Wilson can't play in post season like Senior Bowl
and there's numerous mocks that have Wilson going #1 WR taken (FIXED) like CBS

Uh, no, it wouldn't. NJ-Buckeye's example reads:

#10 - total $21,592,714; includes bonus $13,601,337
#15 - total $17,757,500; includes bonus $9,855,621

His waiting a year nets him next an extra $3.85 million...net pay or bonus. And that's if he's only at #10 next year...

That's not how it works. If he goes next year and gets exactly what NJ posted for #15, that's $17,757,500 more dollars than the $0 he'd get for returning ( I don't know his NIL deals...but it's surely not that). He gets a 17mill head start.
