WR DeVier Posey (2017 Grey Cup Champion and MVP)

Posey's TD catch in the Rose Bowl was Pro quality! He completely turned around and caught it falling down. Of course, he did drop one exactly like it earlier. :tongue2:
Zach Boren could show all our WRs a thing or two about making a spectacular catch! Best hands on team? Maybe...........

Haha, yes he did drop the exact same ball. Also, he did know it was going to be there.

But, he certainly has the most talent and potential on the team. If his hands become more consistent it would seem he has first round talent.

I honestly think he has 1st round talent now. I think many of the fans know, but the nation doesn't know, yet! He puts up big number in the Miami game, and destroys teams we're supposed to beat in conference(NW, Indiana, Illinois, etc.) he'll be drafted high enough. NFL coaches know OSU puts out talented guys who have a good head on their shoulders... At least most of the time we do, lol

So you think that he has first round talent, but won't go in the first round?

Definitely! It makes complete sense and happens all the time. Look at Jimmy Clausen, Carlos Dunlap, Everson Griffin, and that's just this year.
All time there have been Thurman Thomas, Howie Long, Chad Ochocinco, Joe Montana, Curtis Martin, Cris Carter and Larry Allen, to name a few. Just because you have the talent doesn't mean you'll get drafted in the 1st round. Team need has more to do with it than anything.

Many of those players had character issues and the one's who didn't also didn't have the measurables..

It's not like Posey has tremendous measureables himself.
Matter of fact, he's not even listed in the top 40 players going into the season... But what's weird is that Chekwa is. It's gonna be interesting to see this list at the end of the season

Robert Quinn, Ryan Mallett among top?prospects for 2011 NFL Draft - SI.com - NFL Draft 2010

What does this list have to do with measurables? You talk about measurables (which Posey has in spades) and then post a link to prospects. The two aren't the same. Just so you know, measurables are things like speed, agility, etc. Posey IS fast and he IS quick.

Perhaps you have a point but comparing measurables with a list of draft prospects doesn't compute.

Everyone talks about Terrelle's game in the Rose Bowl, but I don't want to forget about Devier Posey's game. He had 8 catches for 100+ yards. If we're going to have a more open offense this year, we're gonna need Posey to produce similar to this frequently. Here's a vid of his performance in the Rose Bowl:[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sJxnn1GCLao]YouTube - DeVier Posey vs. Oregon, Rose Bowl[/ame]

Rittenberg weighs in on Posey

#17 in the countdown

Like Pryor, Posey recorded one of his best performances in the Rose Bowl victory against Oregon, racking up eight receptions for 101 yards and an electrifying touchdown grab. He works well with fellow starting wideout Dane Sanzenbacher and can make big plays in the red zone. Ohio State has had only four receivers record 1,000-yard seasons in team history, most recently with Michael Jenkins (1,076) in 2002. Posey has a good chance to add his name to the list this fall.

No. 53: Ohio State WR DeVier Posey

F697532.jpg

THE BUZZ: He emerged last season as a playmaker, catching 60 passes for 828 yards and eight touchdowns. Posey arguably saved his best for last, catching eight passes for 101 yards and a touchdown in Ohio State's Rose Bowl triumph over Oregon. He could become the fifth Buckeyes receiver with a 1,000-yard season, joining Cris Carter (1986), Terry Glenn (1995), David Boston (1998) and Michael Jenkins (2002).
