WR DeVier Posey (2017 Grey Cup Champion and MVP)

One last thing...I was talking with OSwho? about this on Recruiting Planet (shameless plug)...I could care less about how many stars Devier has...what is much more important to me (and let's put this in perspective...no one cares less about Rivals/Scout rankings than I do) is where a kid is ranked at his position. Devier is rated as the #5 WR in the country and that is fairly accurate to me. Whether that ranking warrants a fifth star or not is inconsequential to me.

Wow, that really is something. #5 rated receiver in the country. Good for DeVier, that's fantastic. Seems like a really nice, down-to-earth kid too. We should all be so humble...

I think one thing that separates Posey from guys like AJ Greene, Julio Jones, and Mike Floyd, is that he has come nowhere close to fulfilling his potential. He could easily add another 20 pounds, a lot more speed, and better overall receiver skills when he gets to college.

After watching Juilo Jones and A.J. Greens highlight films, no other receivers in this class compare to them.

And I disagree...I think Green is trailed by Floyd, Jones, and Posey closely in that order, though we are talking about Posey in this thread. I completely agree cbus...Posey has a TON of potential and even though he is a good route runner now, Coach Hazell is going to turn him into a star. Not to mention a trip to the OSU weightroom is going to do wonders. Posey's best football is definetly in front of him.

Hey everybody has there own opinion. IMO I think Juilo Jones is the best player in the country. Posey and Floyd are very good and will be good in college, but I wouldn't put them in Jones is league.

Wonderful and this thread is about DeVier...

I figured you learned this lesson by now. Take it elsewhere.

Watched some film on DeVier recently and his style reminds me quite a bit of how Michael Wiley used to play WR when he was a freshman.

DeVier's a player and has lots of potential in our offense. I think he would be one heck of a 4th or 5th receiver his frosh year when we're in the spread.

The thing that stood out to me most in the short highlights is that compared to last year, he has changed from a tall receiver who has good speed and fluidity to a big receiver who can use his size in addition to all the other tangibles.

Guys who are 6'3, fast, smooth, AND can be as physical as he will become are very hard to stop. I wouldn't have said this last year, but right now, his play style and game seem very similar to Braylon Edwards.

In my opinion michael floyd does not deserve to be in the discussion with the top 5 receivers of this class green, jones, and posey are the clear talent in the class everyone else is atleast a step below
