WR Dane Sanzenbacher (Official Thread)

Sanzenbacher now in the Senior Bowl
By TIM MAY

Dane Sanzenbacher received a bonus chance to show off for the NFL scouts and coaches this week, yesterday gaining an unexpected invitation to take part in the Senior Bowl on Saturday.

Late last night the Ohio State wide receiver was on his way to Mobile, Ala., where he said he hoped to hit the ground running Tuesday for the North team workouts in Ladd-Peebles Memorial Stadium (practices can be seen on the NFL Network in the afternoons this week).

"I want to do something they're going to remember," Sanzenbacher said.
He joins fellow Buckeye Ross Homan, a linebacker, on the North team which is being coached by the Cincinnati Bengals staff led by Marvin Lewis.

Stolen from Hines' thread...
I'm not sure which of Hines, Sanzo and Rolle I'm most disappointed didn't get invited to the Senior Bowl, but I feel like all three would have made themselves known in the game... they were all just so damn productive for tOSU that I know they would have shown well :shake:
I'm not to worried about Dane. His showing on the national stage against Arky will really be the tell-all for the draft.

He's Hartline-esque. And given some of Brian's success, I'm sure he'll get a long look from plenty of teams who want a quality WR.

I think Dane will turn a lot of heads in the Senior Bowl... he's much more athletic than many people are still willing to give him credit for, runs great routes and has great hands... I'm predicting a handful of catches in the game where he runs routes sharp enough for Senior Bowl QBs to make some plays with, despite not having a lot of time to work together... congrats to Dane on the invite...

"Tuesday Practice Notes:Late fill in. Ran good routes and caught the ball well. Was able to separate from opponents and very good catching the underneath routes. No speed whatsoever."

Sounds like Sanz had a great day considering he just got there and through on some pads today!!

"No speed whatsoever"? There are quite a few opposing DBs who would disagree with that...

Seems like "was able to separate from opponents" and "no speed whatsoever" are two observations that don't go together.

He's just as fast as Jerry Rice who used this skill to create "perceived speed".
