I really hope guys like James Louis and Chris fields see how dane plays, and try to learn from him, and play tough like him.

If Philly Brown can prove himself a deep ball threat that requires over/under coverage, Posey will still require a safety to stay too deep to cover the TE. Jake will likely see a lot of LB coverage or a short zone and his height will be a big advantage. He gets down field pretty well for a TE.
But, I do agree that Dane will be a big loss. In many ways he's been the heart and soul of the offense over the past two seasons. I hope the whole team has learned from the way Dane plays. He's a gamer.

Sanzenbacher close to end as a Buckeye

COLUMBUS - Greg Dempsey had heard all the pre-emptive praise before. This kid or that kid was coming up through the ranks, and he was destined to be the next star at Central Catholic and make the head coach look good in the process.
So when a couple friends of Dempsey's brother commented that a certain grade school player had a lot of ability plus those innate kinds of football smarts that you can't teach, Dempsey was intrigued. But he would withhold judgment. Sometimes a kid could chase the hype and the build-up for years but never quite win that race.
"I saw him at quarterback as a freshman, and then I thought that maybe those guys knew what they were talking about," Dempsey said. "As a sophomore, we moved him to receiver at practice on a Monday, and he started for us that Friday night. He ended up doing a lot of things to make his coach look like a genius."
That player Dempsey talks about will start for Ohio State Saturday when the Buckeyes face Michigan in Ohio Stadium. It will be the 48th game he has played for the Buckeyes, his 12th as a captain, and the second-last one in what has been a brilliant career.
Dane Sanzenbacher has been making the OSU coaches look good as well.
"He is one of those rare kids that have the qualities that you can't define," Dempsey said. "It's the ultimate combination - he has the ability, and he just gets it. I imagine it was the same way for Ohio State as it was for us. You see right away that he's a great athlete, but you really don't know what's coming, until you watch him play the game."

Michigan coach Rich Rodriguez has been reviewing a season's worth of film on Sanzenbacher and the Buckeyes in preparation for the 107th meeting between the rivals.
"Sanzenbacher, I think, is one of the best receivers in the country, not just in the league," Rodriguez said.
