COLUMBUS It's never about the trophies, the rings, or the bling every player will tell you, but the Ohio State seniors did admit in the moments after Saturday's 37-7 win over Michigan that those things are pretty sweet frosting on top of the cake.
The Ohio State seniors own four straight wins over the Wolverines, were a part of four Big Ten championships, and hold a 43-8 record, with just a bowl game left to play.
"It's awesome to think about," senior wide receiver Dane Sanzenbacher said. "It's hard to believe this is our last game in this stadium, but it's great to go out with another win over our rivals and another Big Ten title."
"I hope we leave a legacy of great leadership," he said. "I feel that the guys in this class held themselves accountable, as well as held each other accountable. To be with these other five captains, it's an honor to be a part of this class."

Jon Spencer: You Tube star helps state OSU's case
BY JON SPENCER ? News Journal ? November 29, 2010
You're an Ohio State football player with some extra time on your hands during a bye week in the middle of the season. What should you do?
Catch up on back episodes of Jersey Shore?
Tidy up your apartment, maybe buy a potted plant, to make it more appealing to your, um ... fans?
Bone up on Big Ten tiebreaker scenarios and possible bowl destinations?
Senior co-captain Dane Sanzenbacher spent it making a video extolling organ donation. The video, part of a marketing class project, spoofed LeBron James' "What should I do?" Nike commercial, and at last count, has been viewed nearly 42,000 times on You Tube since finding its way to the web this past week.
Not only does Sanzenbacher's video deliver a poignant message, it's cleverly done and very funny, right down to his powder-tossing parody of LeQuitter and his sweater vest-clad imitation of coach Jim Tressel, whistle around his neck, trying to speed things up at practice.
"I'm glad it's gotten a lot of hits," Sanzenbacher said after Saturday's latest demolition of archrival Michigan. "That was part of it, to spread the word. Somebody from Lifeline Ohio came in and talked to us and you start feeling for that cause.
"I guess I've become a You Tube sensation."
How soon till he hits Hollywood?
"I'm packing my bags right now," Sanzenbacher joked. "I'm on my way to L.A."

Those words were created for guys like Dane.
Dane Sanzenbacher, Ohio State senior wide receiver
On the penalty on Boom's run
"I didn't think it was a penalty but I don't make the calls. I wouldn't change what I did if I could do the play again if that makes it any better. Sorry to Boom to steal his touchdown. I was just trying to help clear the way for him to get into the end zone."
On a high emotion game
"Obvious it's always like that in the Michigan game. We let ourselves get too wrapped up in it for awhile with dumb penalties like the glove thing."
On the rivalry loosing intensity because it's been Ohio State dominated
"We always take this game seriously. We work all year for this game. I don't know how it feels for the game to go the other way. I always came out on the winning side. I'm glad it went that way."
On the legacy of the senior class
"I hope we leave a legacy of great leadership. I feel that guys in this class held themselves accountable as well as held each other accountable. To be with these other five captains, it's an honor to be a part of this class."
REPORTER: Dane, was it explained to you guys what the penalty was they were calling? Was it about your glove, when you were making the sign to the crowd? What did the coaches tell you about what was going on there?
DANE SANZENBACHER: I think they said that was what it was. They didn't want any hand gestures or anything like that and just celebrate with your teammates. So I think it's safe to say we will never wear gloves with anything on them again.
REPORTER: Dane, do you blame Nike for this?
DANE SANZENBACHER: I do. You're going to get us fired.
REPORTER: You guys started with two three and outs, what did you find there? You had that big catch early, what did you find offensively?
DANE SANZENBACHER: We weren't really surprised by anything. It was just lack of execution. I mean, the plays were there. It was just one thing here or there that wasn't opening up, but it was just one of those things where you've kind of got to get a feel for the game, how things were going, and the defense consistently did their job and made it easy on us.
REPORTER: Dane, being from Toledo, can you talk about what it's like finishing as a senior with a perfect record against this team?
DANE SANZENBACHER: It's incredible. It's obviously a goal you have coming in and you never want to be on the other side or the losing side of this rivalry. Especially from Toledo, since we're a town with a large amount of Ohio State and Michigan fans, it's always been a huge game for me and I'm proud to say I'm leaving here never losing to them.
CentralMOBuck;1823408; said:Just in case anyone was still wondering if Dane was really holding on Boom's 98 yard TD run Jwins got a perfect sequence of the play. Maybe illegal hands to the face should have been called on that scummer to add insult to injury. Dane's going to be hard to replace at WR next year.
