WR Dane Sanzenbacher (Official Thread)

I'm absolutely shocked he's ahead of Dukes and Lyons ALREADY! I thought for sure one of those two was going to be pegged as the #3 now that Small is nursing an injury.

Congrats to Dane! Interested to see if he holds that spot now between now and the YSU game. That ought to be plenty of motivation for the rest of the field there (Lyons, Dukes, Washington, Torrence).

slot receiver eh? -- why does that just scream gonzo?

He's been compared to Gonzo since last year. Dane's number is 12, let's just see how Gonzo plus 1 does. I think we will be pleasantly surprised.

Scout had some great video clips from his junior year when his Toledo Central Catholic won the state against Canfield. He scored twice in that game and the first was ... I'll try to locate the clips. Find Clip #3.

Playerrrrrr!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As someone who has seen Sanzenbacher play, on plenty of occasions, he is simply a stud! He does all the right things on a football field, especially stepping up when the stakes are highest. He did things you cant teach, it is one of those situations where God gave a kid a gift.

As the old saying goes, I think I saw him selling tickets and popcorn before one of the games, because he does everything. I can also gaurantee everybody that there is no one that will out work that kid. Another surprising thing is that the kid seems to be so humble.

Buckeye nation should expect great things from this kid.

GO BUCKS!!!!!!!

I'm buying all the kid's tickets and popcorn. I couldn't agree with you more.

I have read a few articles in newspapers that says Torrence is stepping up as #3 WR. Is this a done deal or are the coaches still tyring to sort out the situation? Are we deeper in CBs and therefore it's easier to move Devon to that spot as #3 WR? Anyone have any updates?

Dane is excellent in the slot and can catch the ball in traffic. Has Torrence been as Successful?

I haven't seen any article saying Torrence has stepped up as the #3 WR...

I've seen articles say that Torrence went to offense to replace Small, since Small is injured.. but I didn't read that to mean, replace Small as a starter.. I read it as he's going to WR to fill the depth void left by the injuries to Small and Lyons

Scrimmage

Dane played slot but T-Wash, Torrence and Dukes who are also competing for the position played well.

Bucknuts.com - Offense Holds On To Ball, Wins Scarlet Jerseys

“The guy who played the slot position the most with the first group was Dane Sanzenbacher,” Tressel said. “But a number of guys have played. Taurian Washington is doing a good job there. Albert Dukes is a guy who had a good day today. And Devon Torrence is a guy who has stepped over there and looks to me like he is going to be impactful.

There's a 14 minute video link for premium viewers. Feedback on this would be appreciated. The offense wins jersey scrimmage! I would fun to see the scoring breakdown for both sides.
