If it happens, we could have Louis, Brown and Brad Roby all as WR/DB/ATH types. All are roughly 6'0" 180. I think Louis and Brown at WR, with Roby at CB, is more likely, but you never know until they step onto the practice field. I am just excited to see what they've got when they get here.

I agree a lot of these kids could end up at different positions. Corey Brown could easily play DB or RB and a guy like Roderick Smith could, if the right circumstances exist, end up playing S or OLB. Its just great to get these athletes that can play many spots. You start em out where you think they fit best but still have two or three options down the road if thats not their best place.

Corey Brown already practices at CB/S. I think Louis is a WR all the way, you want the ball in his hands. Roby probably wouldn't be set until he steps foot on campus.

Rod Smith is a RB, and a damn fine one at that.

Future Ohio State Buckeye Corey Brown made an official visit to Columbus over the weekend - ESPN

OSU verbal commitment Corey Brown from Springfield (Pa.) O'Hara was among the group of players who made official visits over this past weekend. Brown (6-foot, 182) was hosted by DeVier Posey.

"A lot of things stood out," Brown said. "I was impressed by the academic help they provide the players. The dorms really surprised me as well. The players are really cool to each other. I like the way the coaches and players communicate." "I had a good time there talking to a lot of the other commitments. I spent some time with Drew Basil and Taylor Graham. All of the coaches seem like cool dudes."

Brown picked Ohio State over the likes of Pittsburgh, Rutgers, West Virginia and Miami (Fla.). He had nearly 40 scholarship offers.

"This visit just made me feel a lot better about my decision," Brown said. Brown verbaled to OSU after making an unofficial visit for the USC game on Sept. 12. He is being recruited by OSU assistant Darrell Hazell. Brown could project as either a running back or a wide receiver at the college level.

"They want me to pick my position," Brown said. "I'll do whatever the team needs. I want to play wherever I can play the fastest at. I played mostly at running back this year, but I also had 30 catches."

Brown is rated as the nation No. 146 prospect by ESPN.com/Scouts Inc. He was an all-metro area pick in the Philadelphia area this year. He earned Catholic League MVP honors in the Class AAAA conference. As O'Hara posted eight wins and advanced to the playoffs, Brown rushed for 1,135 yards and rated among Delaware County's receiving leaders with 30 receptions worth 474 yards. Also a standout defensive back, Brown scored 21 touchdowns.

Brown tore his MCL early in his junior season but he had a big sophomore year. He ran the ball 130 times for 1,019 yards and nine touchdowns and he added 15 catches for 281 yards and four touchdowns.

"I am versatile," said Brown, who boasts a 3.2 GPA. "I can play a lot of different positions and I am usually a pretty good leader."

Brown will not enroll at OSU until mid-June. But he will play in the Under Armour All-American Game Jan. 2 on ESPN.

"I know (OSU verbal) James Louis will be there," Brown said. "I am looking forward to that. I know it's going to be fun."

I know I've said it a hundred times, but I couldn't be any more excited about landing Brown. Great grades, well spoken, electric player and can do it all...all around JT recruit imo. I can't wait to see how he does with Louis at the UA game...combined with Tyrone Williams, that should be a complete WR unit.

From watching his video he reminds me a great deal of Charles Woodson in HS. He is long, elusive, and has that top end gear. I think he would be an amazing WR/PR/KR type of talent. I would also wonder if he could be that big CB that teams love.

Our Co-Catholic Players of the Year are La Salle quarterback Drew Loughery, a repeat honoree, and Cardinal O'Hara running back Corey Brown.

The 6-1, 185-pound Brown was a triple-R threat for the Lions as a rusher/receiver/returner. From scrimmage this season, he produced 1,635 yards and 21 TDs thanks to 159 carries for 1,146 yards (11 TDs) and 32 receptions for 489 and 10. While tallying 306 career points, he rushed 466 times for 3,089 yards and 31 scores and snagged 62 passes for 881 and 17. He has made an oral commitment to Ohio State.

That is high praise. Woodson was a monster in high school (and then later in college and in the NFL). We can only hope Brown has a similar career.

I have not watched much video on Brown, but your comparison has greatly increased my interest in Brown. Looks like I need to check out some more tape on him.
