And now Tate's mom has weighed in on the situation. Unfortunately she goes full "mama bear" trying to defend her son, but honestly Smith didn't really say anything controversial. But it sucks that she takes his word as the representation of OSU media



At this point, the reality is, he gone. And I'd be fine if the '23 WR class finished with Rodgers, Rogers and Inniss.
I'd be happy to get Flores, but what was said in the past is that Hartline would only take 4 WRs if Tate was involved with those 3.

It's truly pathetic that that Vols account tagged his mom. I hope that isn't a grown adult running that account.

Also that "advice" by his mom is almost equally embarrassing. You don't grow as a person if you never value anyone's feedback or criticism. Not talking about what Zach Smith said, just speaking generally.

Edit - I regret reading those twitter comments. Nothing but a bunch of pandering

I disagree, because the drama isn't because of the kid. I'd still take Tate in a heartbeat. This drama is due to overzealous and ignorant UT fans who are trying to get any type of attention to sway a recruit. I'm sure his mom has no clue who Zach Smith is, she just sees a "media member" talking about her son and went into protective parent mode, I don't blame her. Recruiting is a whirlwind for the recruits, but also for the parents. And I'm sure many fans have no clue how stressful it can be on the family.
Btw, Inniss also tweeted about the matter as well, I just chose not to embed it, do you want the staff to pass on him as well, since that may be considered "drama" to you?
And tbh, the recruits with the most drama that stayed Buckeyes(i.e. Terrelle Pryor, Torrance Gibson, Duron Carter, Maurice Clarett, Tate Martell, ) did you wish they signed elsewhere as well?
