WR Brian Robiskie (Official Thread)

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y2z5bBRFm_A]YouTube - Chris Carter Highlights[/ame]

Robiskie has amazing, but, boy oh boy, Cris Carter is just on a different level. 0:16 mark.

That being said, man, it would be awesome if he were to come back next year. And, there is a possibility that he would want to improve his draft prospects.

Not arguing that Carter wasn't an amazing receiver, but if you're judging Carter as being on a different level because of his sideline catch at the 0:16 mark, then you better give love to Ted Ginn too, because he did that so many times in his career. Unfortunately, I don't have the videos posted yet, but maybe if I ever get them up, I can show you what I'm talking about.

Man it's great to be able to argue over who was better/more polished between Carter, Boston, Glenn, Galloway, Ginn, Holmes, and now Robiskie... Go Bucks!!

I was mainly stating that catch as being one of the most fantastic catches ever, especially since it was just Jim Karsatos throwing the ball away.

I don't know. Cris Carter has always just really impressed me. He was the first, and that is a huge reason why.

Luckily, he wasn't the last.

I have been very impressed with Robiskie and this is a well-deserved bit of recognition. Good luck to make it all the way, Brian!

Isn't it great that Buckeyes are in contention for these type of awards year after year? That's the difference between a living tradition and a remembered tradition. Year after year. Decade after decade.

I remember that quote as well right after Santonio beat Jackson on that slant. I thought Gary Danielson said it though.
It may have been Danielson, actually. He - and as I think about it, I think you're correct, it was Danielson - followed it up with something to the effect of "you won't find a better route having been run in college all year"

It used to be in my sig line...

Buckeye speaks fluent football; Robiskie learns from his father

By MATT MARKEY
BLADE SPORTS WRITER

COLUMBUS - There were two languages spoken in the household where Brian
Robiskie grew up - English and Football - and it is open for debate which was the primary. The Ohio State junior wide receiver learned the game at the evening supper table, on rides home from school in the family car, or just sitting on the sofa in the living room. His father, Terry, is a veteran of 26 seasons as a coach in the National Football League. That covers the younger Robiskie's complete lifetime, and then some. "He has been around the game all of his life, and I think that shows in his understanding of how things work, how things develop on the football field, and in his grasp of offensive concepts," Ohio State coach Jim Tressel said about Robiskie, who leads the Buckeyes with 44 receptions this season for 833 yards and 10 touchdowns.
