IDK about that, Michael was a huge guy with limited agility.

I think the best comparison right now is Tyrod Taylor. Compact size, beautiful delivery. I think Braxton is more dangerous in open space due to the array of moves he can pull of at a moments notice.

I hate playing the comparison game, because I think a kid has the right to trailblaze his own name. But, skill set wise, I think Tyrod is a pretty close match right now.

By Marc F. Pendleton, Staff Writer Updated 12:24 AM Sunday, November 7, 2010 MIDDLETOWN ? How could anything trump a season of disappointing setbacks, stunning upsets and bad breaks for area Division I football teams?
How about a Wayne vs. Centerville rematch?
The Warriors did their part, laying a workmanlike 21-0 knockout on previously unbeaten Middletown in Saturday?s
D-I, Region 4 first-round matchup of the high school playoffs at a filled-to-capacity (10,000-plus) Barnitz Stadium.
And Centerville was just as impressive, eliminating longtime rival Cincinnati Moeller 27-17 at Lockland.
That sets up Wayne vs. Centerville II in a regional semifinal next Saturday at a location that will be announced today. But Wayne football coach Jay Minton already is lobbying for a nearby neutral site.
?I hope they have it at Welcome Stadium, and it?ll be the place to be next Saturday night,? he said.
Middletown and Wayne traded plenty of early turnovers before quarterback Braxton Miller put Wayne up 7-0 on the first play of the second quarter with a 6-yard touchdown run.
Wayne?s passing game never kicked in, but the ground game came to life in the decisive second half. Aided by Anthone Taylor?s 153 yards rushing and 19-yard scoring run, Wayne thwarted every Middie red-zone threat and answered with two long scoring drives.
Jordan Morgan finished off Middletown with a 20-yard TD strike from Miller.
Wayne?s defense was at its best, holding heralded QB Jalin Marshall to 21 yards rushing and pitching a shutout on a team that averaged 44 points.
John Senter punctuated the Warriors? effort with an interception inside the 10 in the game?s closing minutes.
?Obviously, we?re a No. 1 (seed) and getting that draw No. 8, oh, great, that?s a tough one,? said Middies coach Jason Krause.
?I?ve said all along they?re the best 7-3 team that I?ve seen.?

Wayne?s Miller trying not to take Robinson?s path

It?s easy to draw a comparison of University of Michigan quarterback Denard Robinson to Braxton Miller of Wayne High School.

Unless Robinson is derailed by injuries or concussions, he should become the NCAA?s all-time single-season rushing leader at his position. He?s already run for 1,349 yards and needs just 146 vs. Big Ten foe Purdue this week to claim the mark.

The only problem is he?s been knocked out of three games after injuries to a knee, his right (throwing) shoulder and a concussion. He?s entertainingly elusive, but gangly and an easy target for a defender hoping to make ?SportsCenter? highlights.

Miller used to be that guy.

?I don?t need unnecessary hits on my body,? said Miller, who avoided at least a half-dozen whacks by stepping out of bounds in last Saturday?s 21-0 playoff defeat of Middletown.

?You get what you can get and get out. When you?re a young pup, you just want to get out there and run around. But I?m growing up and getting more maturity.?

Just as elusive as Robinson at this level, Miller has missed nearly a season of games in four years with the Warriors because of injuries. He still runs, but not as the first option. His passing is better than ever, and he?s had the most consistent five-game winning stretch of his career.

If ever the future Buckeye needs a reminder of how a career is destined to implode, all he has to do is keep tabs on Robinson.

great news for braxton that pryor is coming back next year...going to be great for his development...pryor will be a great teacher and role model for braxton so im very happy to read pryor plans to come back next year

Won't hurt that Braxton is graduating early and will be here for spring ball too. Should make the transition much easier.
