Even more eerie: Boston has a secretary named Kennedy and St. Louis has a secretary named Lincoln.

thank you for showing me the reason ive always hated red sox fans.....youre all lucky you get a free pass because i hate the yankees more.I am a huge Bosox fan and over the years we have become conditioned to think this way...if there is a way for them to break my heart, they'll find it and it will happen. This would truly be the worst ever. To come back and defeat the DAMN Yankees after being down 0-3 (the highest of highs) to being up 3-0 in the WS and lose 4 straight to let it slip away (the lowest of lows).
There would be some MASS suicide happening outside Fenway that night.
You can hate us all you want, but its the way it is. I wish it wasn't as it sucks to always think the worst will happen when it comes to rooting for your favorite team, but it is what it is.BuckeyeNation27 said:thank you for showing me the reason ive always hated red sox fans.....youre all lucky you get a free pass because i hate the yankees more.
and when you win the world series...do you realize the shift your life as a red sox fan will take? you will no longer be the poor little team who is cursed. you will no longer be able to just shrug it off when you lose because "thats what the red sox do."Buckmark1 said:You can hate us all you want, but its the way it is. One thing you must say though is that a Red Sox fan can never be called a bandwagon fan, as there has never been a bandwagon to jump on. They are incredibly loyal and always watch until that last pitch with the hope that somehow, someway their team will find a way to get it done. Always hopeful, wanting to believe.
This could be it. Everything points that way and I will enjoy every minute of the ride, regardless of the outcome, just like always.
