Walker Sr., a retired seismic engineer, was painting house address numbers in the backyard shortly
after 3 p.m. when a white 8-month-old pit bull named Cocaine jumped the fence and tugged the shirttail of
a 7-year-old relative, said Walker Jr., relaying his mother's story.Walker Sr. threw a brick at the dog while his
wife quickly escorted her grandchildren into the house. She retrieved a .38-caliber revolver and returned outside,
where she found her her husband holding the barking pit bull with both hands. Walker Sr. and the pit bull were
face to face with the dog's back to Betty Walker. Betty Walker fired two shots, the first striking her husband in
the upper right chest. The second bullet struck the dog's left front leg.

"I had gone upstairs to lay down, and I just heard two shots. I jumped out of bed and I heard my momma
scream," Walker Jr. said. She was screaming, 'Your daddy's been shot! Your daddy's been shot!'"

She don't like, she don't like, she don't like...... Cocaine!!

Don't get me wrong, this story is a sad tragedy.
Any story where the bulldog lives makes me cry.
first i think we should avoid confusing pitbull and bulldogs. not even close to the same thing.

second, the dogs name is cocaine and its a pitbull. im very suspicious.

third, "grabbed his shirt tail" after jumping a fence doesnt sound nessesarily like a friendly dog. obviously i dont the dogs temprament or demeanor during the incident but if this is the kind of dog i suspect it might have been, id have bashed its head with a brick too. and i LOVE dogs

Yeah, I doubt a seismic engineer is the type to fly off the handle and act aggressively without reason.

My opinion is that this dog was probably being raised to be a mean son-of-a-bitch. Not all pitbulls are like this but they can be made mean very easily.
