Game Thread Wisconsin at tOSU, Sep 28th, 8 ET, ABC/ESPN/ESPN2

I think we played an awesome game
What upsets me is the way we graciously compliment #4 and #44.. and there is virtually no reciprocity from anyone in the Wisky camp
Not so disappointed you got screwed by PAC12 refs if this is the class you show
And all the wizards that predicted a Wisky win... same classless responses.. nothin

How do we give the punter the game ball? Dude was a killer

Well, after watching the Buffalo game and then this game, two things about Braxton Miller are apparent.
1. He is a much better passer than last year.
2. I have resigned myself to the expectation of 8 -10 god-awful horrible plays per game to go along with the 4 or 5 amazing plays per game.

A few game thoughts. Would've posted these last night but was at Oktoberfest in New Glarus, Wis.

1. Great atmosphere. I had a few friends go to the game and they said it was incredible. That was apparent even on TV. Night games in the Big Ten = something special.

2. Game ball (for me) goes to the OSU punter Cameron Johnston. He pinned Wisconsin deep several times and made an already tough night that much more difficult for the UW offense.

3. The ABC broadcast was terrible IMO. From LeBron's life story taking precedence over the on-field action to the awful camera angles that obscured several plays, they really dropped the ball. Plus you could barely hear Herbstreit and Musberger throughout the game. Ughh.

4. I have no doubt OSU is the best team Wisconsin will play until their bowl (obviously). Speed and talent to burn at all positions. Couple that with Meyer's coaching and OSU will be a tough out for the foreseeable future. Meyer's recruiting acumen was obvious last night.

5. Braxton Miller. What else is there to say? He's a straight-up baller. I'm glad Wisconsin doesn't have to face him again because he has killed them so far in his career.

Nice game all around. IMO nobody will beat the Buckeyes in the Big Ten season. It'll just be a matter of who comes out on top between Alabama/LSU/Oregon/Stanford/OSU for a shot at the title.

See you guys again in 2016. Good luck the rest of the way.

It's crazy when you think about it.

They basically lined up dropped 8-9 in the box, shut down the Wisky run game, put a future NFL DB on Wisky's ONLY WR and dared Wisky to win by throwing the ball.

Wisky gets 10 catches and 200+ yards out of that fucker and its still a 17 point game going into the 4th quarter.

I said it before but other than Abewhatchamafuck going insane, the most shocking thing to me in that game was the OSU offense not scoring more in the second half with all those short fields.

Yeah, I agree, but what about the two big Wiscy plays that save the Buckeye's bacon... Illegal punt formation takes away the ball from the Badgers on the OSU 35, and a holding call on a long completion that sets Bucky back. My impression was that the ball took more OSU bounces than Wisconsin.

Abredaris plays well in every game I see him in. He's more than a "solid" player and overall his night could elevate his draft standing while dropping Roby's.

Of course all of this comes from someone who spent the night trying to bend around one of those damn Sec 8 - B deck posts. Not fully sure what I saw. It's amazing how much of a game gets played in the area of the field blocked by a post.

I don't yet have something in place that allows people to filter more than Mark May. So while I won't ask that people avoid any and all off-color words entirely, what I will ask is that we drop the gratuitous use of the pumpkin (see youra6's post immediately after mine) -- it's being used for the sake of being used, just because we can, and that's not great for all.

The alternative (until I can find custom code to make it an option) is that I hard rewrite Carlin's words for everyone, and that's not an ideal solution. So for the time being, let's be a little more judicious at least in the high traffic core content threads (like game threads, player threads, etc.).

Not asking mods to step in the way we do in the recruiting forum, but when it's every other post for nearly an entire page (8 of 15 for the previous page), we have an issue.

This is purely a matter of me just not having a code solution for the issue yet, the way we did on the old software. So help me out for the time being. And to be extra clear -- it's the gratuitous use I'm talking about, not the use. It's one thing if you're adding meaningful emphasis, it's another if you're just using it because we don't filter it.

tOSU did not commit a bunch of stupid penalties. That may have been the difference.

Obi Wan ke Roby's penalties were on purpose and are understandable given who he had to cover and do not fall into the category above. I think one of them saved a touchdown.

We should all just be like Politenessman and say, "Coitus Michigan!"
