Wisconsin -8.5 at Sparty (ov/un 47.5) Sat 8 ET, ESPN

I was 8 rows back from that catch. That was one of the greatest things ive seen. Oh Bucky fan...BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA that was the so awesome. Sparty fans are 8 out of 10. Bucky was eating crow. Overrated and just like last year chants ALLLLL the way to the car. Great night. had a BLAST.

but we need to be in a head to head tie breaker for us to beat out wisconsin. If we're in a three-way tie the first tie breaker is overall record, if i read that correctly. in order to avoid that i think what i posted needs to happen....but we kind of first need to win out for any of this to happen though :tongue2:
No...if you are in a 3-way tie, the tie breaker is overall record between the 3 teams. So let's say the 3 way tiebreak is the one everyone is talking about 6-2 Ohio State, 6-2 Wisconsin, and 6-2 Penn State.

Then you look at the record each has against the other 2.

Ohio State would be 2-0
Wisconsin would be 1-1
Penn State would be 0-2

So you eliminate Penn State

Then you look at the head to head with Ohio State and Wisconsin

Ohio State wins.

I'm fairly certain that's how it works.

correct.....again

If three or more teams are tied, steps 1 through 7 will be followed until a determination is made. If only two teams remain tied after any step, the winner of the game between the two tied teams shall be the representative.
The records of the three tied teams will be compared against each other
The records of the three tied teams will be compared within their division

Overall record is NOT in the discussion, remember this is to play in the B1GCG, overall was only in because that determined who too the bcs spot

Sparty plays at Nebraska next week, if they win that game then they are pretty much certain of going to the Big Ten championship. If they lose, then it could turn into a four team race with Iowa, Michigan, Sparty and Nebraska all virtually tied. So I will cheer for Nebraska in that game next week, because a little chaos on that other side will be fun.

As far as Wisconsin goes on from this game, it really didn't hurt their chances at all to get into the CCG. Their way in remains the same as it did before yesterday, just win. But it has to deflate them a bit, going from national title contenders to now out of the picture. If they can regroup and beat us, then it likely comes down to a Penn State/Wisconsin showdown at the end of the season in Madison to see who wins the leaders.

If we beat Wisconsin...then practically the entire division is still in, even Purdue and Illinois (said with a bit of jest).

This is true, but it's always nice to have a little breathing room. Too many Badgers fans were wrapped up in the mythical national title appearance, where we would've gone done in flames against the overwhelming SEC speed. Big picture, Wisconsin needs to take care of business from here on out. The season is not lost.

Penn State is not going to beat Wisconsin or Nebraska, so unless chicks are involved, I don't want to hear "three way" on this thread anymore.

I wouldn't put it past them to beat Nebraska... Penn State played Bama closer than anyone so far this season and their offense is making some progress.

They have roughly the same punchers chance to beat anyone as we do this year. Very good D's, capable run game on O but occasionally crippling QB/WR play. Just like OSU this year Penn State can get beat by damn near anyone or they can beat anyone. It just depends on the day.

The differences I see are the OSU run game is consistently better and Millers running ability over his PSU counterparts at QB. McMoxie is a better passer right now, sorry to say.

That PSU run game with Redd has been quite good as of late.

I want to offer an apology to anyone that I may have offended tonight with my posts.

No offense to anyone, I just HATE like hell to see a team that I despise win in miracle fashion.

the difference is simple as far as Michigan teams go:

#1 I hate the hell out of scUM, but will always respect them

#2 I hate the hell out of scuMSU, and have NO respect for them

Peace

I've got to admit--I haven't seen this one before. Why the hate for Sparty, and why don't you respect them? That aside, have you not been paying attention to the various clownish shots that Wisconsin's football AND basketball coaches have taken directly at OSU in the past few years?

PSU also had close games against Temple, Indiana, and Iowa. NEB is definitely beatable, but I don't think PSU can handle the option any better than OSU did. I think PSU would have to put up 30+ points to stay in the game.

Considering how much trouble PSU has had pulling out wins over the weakest opponents on their conference sched, I don't see them getting more than one win in the remaining games.
