If true, a BIG surprise to me. Out of all the possibilites I never envisioned Wilson moving inside.

Moving guys from end to DT is nothing new under Coach Tressel. Since he's been here, I can recall having only a couple of guys that were considered true DT's. Peterson, Scott and Patterson all played DE and DT at some point in their careers at Ohio State. Pitcock, Anderson, and Bailey are the only two that spent their entire time under Tressel as DTs. And Bailey really doesn't count, since he only had one year with Tressel.Buckeye Nut;778246; said:I kind of like the idea of Wilson moving inside. It gives us more athleticism at the tackle position like we saw from Florida in the championship game. I think that Florida game might have influenced a move to smaller but more athletic tackles, kind of like the Florida State Sugar Bowl opened the coaches eyes to the fact we need to rotate more guys in on the line.

My only question about the "smaller, but more athletic tackles", - will that be effective against the teams that you need to beat, to win the Big 10 championship (specifically UM and Wisky)? Hypothetical question, by the way, not a criticism. Power versus athleticism will make for intriguing matchups. One more very important thing, when the pads come on, a more definitive picture will emerge. Great thread for March.
Putting Wilson's size into perspective (as of 2/7).jwinslow;743659; said:Recently Lawrence ran a 4.52 40 at 275 lbs, per JT on 1460 radio. (edit: thx 86)

This could be really good news or really bad news based on how you look at it...
