Winter Workouts Reports

So far I love what I hear bout the defensive line!! I think on obvious passing downs a defensive line of Rose-Worthington-Wilson-Gholston would be stunning (Denlinger a clog in the middle on downs 1/2). I'm super pumped about hearing how wilson is moving inside a bit because that guy is so athletic and it does speak volumes what they think of rose

If true, a BIG surprise to me. Out of all the possibilites I never envisioned Wilson moving inside
.

I did. In fact I remember saying so on this board that I thought he would be best suited there so that we would not waste a beasty talent in rose. Just think about how wilson could dominate there. Watch his game as a defensive end very physical and you could just tell that he could be used a little further down in the trenches. Give me Wilson and Denllinger on the inside with Gholston and Rose on the outside and I thin that would be a great defensive front. L-dog in the middle and a mixture of Homan Gibson and Freeman Grant outside Jenkins Amos at corner James Scott as the Nickle Coleman and Russell at safety and I say thats the best D in the Big Ten.

It's early and the coaches are still mixing and matching possible senarios right now. Jury is still out as to who will play where, with the exception of Denlinger and Gholston, as far as starters are concerned.

With the way we rotate players in and out, I'm not so sure who starts and who subs is going to matter all that much. I still see Wilson playing DE, but time will tell. I do agree with you though that we need to find a way to get Rose on the field. AND if Rose, Gholston, Wilson, Denlinger are our best four players, then that settles that.

Comparisons

Not to get too far off topic but that bothered me last year when no one could some up with a name to compare Dane to other than Gonzo.

Sorry wad I'm a little late jumping in on this and you know how much I like to talk about Dane. At one point someone compared him to Mario Manningham but I hestitate mentioning his name too frequently at BP.. The comaprision was their head and body fakes. I actually heard this from a coach. Sorry this went off topic.
