Will OSU ever lose to an Ohio team?

Cincinnati has not come remotely close to deserving a yearly "rivalry" game with Ohio State. I'm sorry, but two or three decent seasons under a coach who'll most likely be gone in the next 24 months does not make Cincy a national power or even a top 25 program. For most of their history, they've sucked at football. EVen now, they can't fill that little bandbox of a stadium, yet we're supposed to automatically elevate them to the same level as an all-time top 5 program?

Screw that. In the larger scheme of things, UC is no different than OU or Bowling Green or Fredo of Ohio, all of whom have had their little 3-5 year windows of success.

Cincy can continue to take their spot on the Horseshoe in-state payday rotation, or they can walk away and cry about the injustice of it all. Makes no difference to me.

Hey hey hey! Take this quiz. You'll be surprised to see who's on there.

I figured that Fredo would show pretty well in that ranking. After all, all those coaches had to have a good run at Fredo in order to get hired by big time programs.

Just proves my point that Cincy's little run is nothing special relative to the rest of The Other State Universities. They cracked the AP top 10 for the first time in their history this week. I think that Fredo has actually finished in the top 10 a couple of times in their history--most recently with Roethlisberger. Look at where they are just a few short years down the road. There's no reason that Cincy, with its desirable coach and insane debt load preventing facility upgrades, couldn't find itself in the same boat five years from now.

Cincy has earned nothing.

I've got to add this to counterbalance the gayness of the above post:

Ok, carry on.[/quote]

Where's the damn party at?!

Please, tell me that those are the Buckeye girls...or I'm going to be sorely disappointed.

When I want to engage in a healthy, respectful debate I often question the oppositions "balls" in the first couple of lines of my argument. I find it really helps keep things on an even keel.

Speaking of a lack of testicular fortitude, going from a "grow some balls and schedule UC" post to a "I didn't mean any disrespect/we can all agree to disagree" post is just funny as hell to me.

Perhaps no other team from Ohio will beat the Buckeyes in the next few years, but eventually it will happen. The state of Ohio is very talented and extremely tradition rich. It is just a matter of time before the right team from Ohio catches OSU in the right year. Just think if we had UC on the schedule this year, we could be in trouble.
