Will OSU ever lose to an Ohio team?

Not to mention the fact that no matter what stadium you play the game at...if it's in Ohio, it'll be filled with Buckeyes. Just ask Indiana and NW...oh wait...those aren't even in Ohio.

Give me a fucking break. Untill it happens, I have every right to believe that it never will. That's not being cocky...it's being realistic.
Exactly...

Oh please, I've seen the Buckeyes outplayed by UC on more than one occasion, and Miami, BG and OU have been in a position where winning was a possibility. It's a matter of when, not if.
Given enough time, of course, you are correct. But, that won't make it a rivalry and it also won't be "the norm" or anything other than an upset of Carrollian proportions.

I always enjoy these threads with guys from Cinci who are Ohio State fans, but have this weird love for all things Cincinnati.

You guys can just save a lot of typing and just write either "I'm from Cinci" or "I went to UC".

Not all of us drink the Bearcat flavored kool aid. So don't lump us all in that category.

And UC needs to sustain the recent success. And Brian Kelly will be gone soon. The program does NOT have the facilities that he wants and they're not going to get them anytime soon. Sooner or later a big program is going to come calling. (This year is my bet)

Ohio teams have sometimes put a scare into Ohio State in recent years. Many play good football and Cincinnati is a very good football team this year.

But, with all due respect, when Kelly goes, and it will probably be at the end of this season, so will begin a decline to mediocrity in UC football.

Let's be honest. Ohio State is not lucky. The other Ohio universities are lucky that the state legislature puts pressure on Ohio State to play in-state schools. The money they earn playing in Ohio Stadium often means quite a bit to their athletics budgets. Ohio State would be much better off scheduling out-of-state schools.

Quoted for truth. This should be the start and end of this discussion.

You clearly have not followed much of what I have said about Cincinnati. I have pointed out that the city's media -- not me -- is more concerned about UC football, followed by Notre Dame football, than Ohio State -- that's not how I feel, it's how it is. In basketball it's even worse with more space given to UC, XU, UK and INDIANA (for Christ's sake) than OSU.

Historically, this town has seen itself as the Capitol city in the Principality of Tri-State, the mythical Kingdom where Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky meet on the banks of the Ohio River. Result: they've been sucking hind tit on state funds in comparison to Columbus, Cleveland and Toodleydoo.

The anti-OSU sentiment grew to extremes during the Earl Bruce era leading the best Cincinnati athletes to Michigan and Notre Dame, all do to some well covered bitching by Earl about Cincinnati athletes.

I'm happy to see UC doing well and I'd love to see the Bucks play in Paul Brown Stadium if for no other reason than to fly the colors and let the folks of Tri-State know to whom they send their tax dollars.

I would also suggest that some of the posts on this thread reflect an unreal view of a world in which the Buckeyes can't be topped by the likes of UC, OU or Miami. That simply does not reflect real probability.

Cincinnati waltzed right in and beat Oregon State in Corvalis. Not even USC COULD DO THAT!!!11!!!. Maybe som WAC teams, but not USC.

I went to see a Cincy - Army game in 2004. It was an awful game where they got blown out by Navy. What's that mean? Anything can happen and there could have been a few loses here or there. Guess what, there's not.

Cincy is a good team RIGHT NOW. I hope they do make a BCS or National Championship game and get utterly exposed like last year against Virginia Tech. Funny how the team could excel all season then hit a brick wall against the best team (?) from the ACC. Shocking.

Obviously OSU will eventually lose a game to an Ohio team, Cincy most likely given that they are now in BCS conference and should be able to recruit better than in the past, or maybe to a MAC team with an NFL QB prospect in a down OSU year. Barring OSU making a horrific mistake in head coach selection at some point, however, it will NEVER be even close to a regular occurrence.

Crazy that it hasn't happened in the last 88 years...yet I'm the one being unrealistic.
