Wie playing with the guys

She is absolutely not a "freak show".
perception trumps reality 99/100. i didn't say she was, rather that is what she will be labeled and remembered as. noone is going to look at her accomplishments and judge her regardless of her gender. at the end of the day she will be acheiving great things "for a woman" or didn't make it "because she is a woman". she will not be judged by her merits, but rather her gender.

Ridiculous. If she accomplishes nothing, she won't be remembered as all. If she is one day able to finish in the top 10/20 of men's tournaments, she will be remembered as a great female golfer who was able to compete with men. Freak show? whatever.

Folks need to remember that golf is not a game of strength, but of technique and mental discipline. Wie has to physical tools to hit the ball as far as most men while having exceptional touch in her short game. The fact that her tits have grown out and she is lacking nuts and a dick means squat. She just needs to work on her mental game...she's made too many 15-year-old-type mistakes, not "female-type" mistakes. Once she gains maturity at the pro-level, watch out...she will be a player to reckon with.

I am in 100% agreement with what you just said.
If she had made the cut two weeks ago, she would have been the 2nd youngest, by only a few weeks, to ever make a PGA tour cut...

Well, it looks like the Masters dream will have to wait another year...

She's getting her ass handed to her this morning by Ogden.
5 down at the turn. "turn out the lights, the party's over...."
It will be interesting to see if she applies for an exemption from the LPGA to turn pro and play on the tour, once she turns 16.

Well, let's update her ambitious career in mens tournaments:

Dropout and copout using the heat exhaustion excuse in the John Deere. Oh, by the way, she sucked when she was playing.

Last in a Euro mens tournament.

Near last in the next mens event she entered.

And, finally, she beat one player after 2 rounds in a Japanese mens event, when she shot a whopping 161. On a good note, she's not going to be discouraged from entering more men's events. Bless her heart.

Wie struggles in 1st round of Sony Open
By DOUG FERGUSON
AP Golf Writer

HONOLULU (AP) -- Luke Donald didn't have much of a following Thursday, so he barely heard any applause even as he made birdies on half his holes for a 7-under 63 and the early lead at the Sony Open. The crowds were with Michelle Wie. And there wasn't much cheering there, either.

I wouldn't say she makes a fool of her self. She has been within a few missed putts of making the cut more than once. However, I have always thought she should get her shit together on the LPGA and win a few there before she worries about the PGA Tour.

I agree. You have to wonder if she's hurting her confidence being as young as she is. Golf is so mental, it seems to me that winning some tournaments in the LPGA first would be the way to approach this...
