Who was faster? TGII or TP?

Hey guys I dont mean to keep bring this up but.......

Despective speed = White guys

Illusive speed = All others

Carry on!

Not quite sure what hick high school teacher taught you English, but they ought to fire him/her.

Deceptive and Illusive are synonyms. Which, since your teacher sucks I'll tell you, means that they have very similar definitions. Neither of which notes race.

And now you can stop bringing it up, since from your post it sounds like you "keep bring this up"

Honestly I would love to see how fast TP could be if he actually trained for running and what not. He is a freak athlete and if he put serious time into improving his speed like ginn does I think he could come pretty close if not faster then ginn. But right now it's not even a contest, Ginn kills him.

Just INSANE speed.

Watch the return at 4:49 against Indiana, there's a moment in that run where he switches gears to an absolutely ungodly speed and pulls away from the pack that just gives me goosebumps every time I see it. The 100yd'er against Minnesota right after that is the one I always see in my head when I think if TGII's speed. Just makin' All-Americans look like they're standing still.

This is completely unscientific, but if you watch the clock on the Indiana runback that you mentioned, he gets the ball at about the 4:50 mark, and crosses the goal line at about halfway between 5:03 and 5:04...

That's roughly a 13.5 second 100-yard dash... only TGII didn't run in a straight line, he ducked and dodged defenders and ran zigs and zags... WOW.

We were there for that. 100 years from now, someone is gonna be playing that highlight reel and we were there.

Stunning.

didn't read the entire thread because i'm lazy.

my guess is that Ginn was faster than TP.

in the few games I saw Ginn play, he looked like the fastest guy on the field (when not playing an SEC team ).
TP has some speed, but doesn't look like he's on another level like Ginn did.

Sure looked quick enough blowing by UF's kick coverage team :tongue2:

Thanks though, Ginn was the most electric player I've ever seen in a Buckeye uniform. That dude has a gear in pads that just made you giddy in anticipation whenever he touched the ball.

Guys, it's not even close. Ginn is so much faster than TP it's silly to compare. TP is fast...but he is more like Holmes fast. Meaning, give him a step and he's going to beat you. Ginn doesn't need a step...he just needs about 3 strides to pull ahead of anyone.

1.Ginn
2.Joey Galloway
3.Terry Glenn
4.Derek Combs
5.Robert Smith
next group: Drew Carter,Jeff Graham,Mike Jenkins, Holmes,Chris Gamble

in my opinion
