Very good episode - despite the old stuff with Locke, several things moved along last night.

The balloons were found, and the second one had Dharma symbols on the boxes.

The grave was found, and it contained the body of the guy the captive was pretending to be.

Jack got medicine back from Sawyer.

We saw the map on the back of the blast door.

Locke's promise will certainly come back to haunt him, and did the captive retract the blast doors?

Is the captive Dharma, one of the Others, or both? I'm guessing Dharma only.

Kate’s original crime that started her life on the run is revealed as she sleeplessly watches over a feverish Sawyer.

Meanwhile, the survivors lay one of their own to rest, and Mr. Eko has a surprise for Locke regarding the hatch.

8:30??? Looks like an extra 1/2 hour to me.

EDIT: Wait... that comes from an Australian website.. never mind.. (Just noticed it says Thursday, as well)

As with many others I agree, best episode in a long, long while.

Concerning the map - the very first thing that went through my mind was how like the kinds of clues you would find in a game of Myst. Which is of course played in different sections of a mysterious island.

So what did everyone think of last nights episode? I think it focuseda little to much on hugo with very little advancement.

We did find out that their is someone ever more powerful than the man with the beard though. And you have to wonder if the guy is just messing with Locke or if indeed the button does not do anything.

As filler episodes go, I thought last night's was pretty good, but I've been wondering about Hugo's time in the institution anyway.

It was annoying though to have so little given regarding the prisoner after learning last week that everything he had said was a lie.

I think that is what disappointed me. That they really did little with the prisonor. esp after they teased it with the reading of the note on the 20 before Sied ( sp?) tried to shot him

Was interesting to see that the girl was in the institution also. You have to wonder now if indeed she got better and became a shrink, or if she is crazy and just acting like a doctor now.

I think that was a great twist.

I was kind of hoping Hurley would jump.. that would add some shock value to the show that's been missing. I like his character but I would'nt mind seeing him go.

I think FX's new show Thief has replaced LOST as my favorite drama... I think the producers are trying to drag it out way too long.

Did anyone notice that the deck that collapsed when Hurley went onto it was holding 23 people, but was only built for 8?

Sounds like the numbers were haunting him well before he met his Connect-4 buddy in the institution.

4 is from Connect-4
8 was the max for the deck
15 is the difference between 8 on 23 on the deck
16 is 8 + 8
23 were on the deck
42 is (4 plus 15 plus 23)

It's all in his mind. :wink2:

Last night's episode was way too slow. The only good thing was the appearance of the woman at Hurley's facility at the end of the show.

I was ticked at Ana Lucia for stopping Sayid when he was threatening to shoot the guy. He wasn't going to kill him, but if he put a bullet past his ear, the guy might have talked a little more.
