Okay guys - it's been a while since I've posted, and I could think of no better post to get back into the swing of things other than this one...so here goes.

First - if anybody thinks that this is relegated to the pros - they got another thing coming. If anything, it's worse at the lower levels. I've seen parents of kids I coached putting hits on opposing players in return for a trip to McDonalds, a PS3, and other items (no kidding, guys). When we saw that, we were obligated to report it to the league head. Those people were given their money back and told to seek life elsewhere, we don't want that in our league. Lots of pissed off parents, you could imagine.

I think everybody involved deserved what they got. Why? Because all involved tried to pitch a holy hella fit when they whined and complained about safety last year during the lockout.

Let me ask this question, guys,

Do you think the harsh punishment would have come down had the lockout not happened?

Yes. The Goodell administration has been pushing hard for increased player safety (and rightfully so) since Roger's first day on the job.

Yes, as Bucky said. This punishment would have happened under Tagliabue though. It was blatant and pervasive.
